THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

double

cynic - 26 Nov 2015 08:07 - 65302 of 81564

and what happens about the stamp duty if it is a company that is buying properties to let?
i can think of variations on that, but the basic question remains

Tim Yeo "was" an MP for more than 30 years.

Martin Ivens, editor of The Sunday Times, said the decision was "a victory for investigative journalism".
He added: "It vindicates the role of the press in exposing the clandestine advocacy by MPs for undisclosed interests."

Double it then the I say.

Tricky one cynic , depends who they are if it's a housing association then that's different .
What company were you thinking of ?

Stan - 26 Nov 2015 08:22 - 65307 of 81564

Max you seem to posting some strange stuff, for instance a blue box with ? mark in it.

TANKER - 26 Nov 2015 08:22 - 65308 of 81564

id you read the statement the rise of 3.35 will be gone your local council are going to put up your council tax by around £9.45 a month from april just for care then on top of that the general rise so you will end up down .

so todays pensioners will not get one penny

jimmy b - 26 Nov 2015 08:22 - 65309 of 81564

Use your imagination Stan !

cynic - 26 Nov 2015 08:25 - 65310 of 81564

none in particular jimmy, but i can imagine it would affect the likes of GF who seems to have a bit of an empire including many for students

btw, i have no intent of adding to my own small portfolio :-)

Stan - 26 Nov 2015 08:26 - 65311 of 81564

I did that 1st James but it ran riot.. hence the question.

Stan - 26 Nov 2015 08:27 - 65312 of 81564

Broke again eh Bamber?

cynic - 26 Nov 2015 08:30 - 65313 of 81564

i'm certainly old enough to understand the allusion to bamber - my father even met him

but in answer to your question, looking after the couple of properties i have is more than sufficient effort

Max.

I find it amusing at the degree of false umbrage by the con party at a little red book when they are kowtowing to the Chinese leadership and all but licking their arses and at the same time flogging off the country's property and possibly future power production to another country's government, to save their own economic embarrassments.

As an aside from the SD rise on BTL I wonder if that will be seen as good for Shares, i.e. more money coming into to the market.

Oh just a minute, the SD doesn't come in until April 2016 does it? so even if money does come into shares it won't be until next year.

TANKER - 26 Nov 2015 08:35 - 65318 of 81564

new stamp duty should be higher .
and if the landlord does not keep the house in good order the council should do the
work and the tenant pays the council the rent till its paid back
that's the way to solve the problem of shit houses

Also, glad to see Hunt backtracking on behalf to the Cameron and Osborne and conceding to discussions under ACAS.

Mind he did enjoy prancing about and refuse any meaningful discussions until the gun was at his head.

What a U-bend bunch of liars are attempting to govern the UK at the moment!
