Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Gausie
I think it is you that is naive,. It is really only Israel that is jumping up and down about Iran's nuclear ambitions. Only Israel is discussing attacking Iran. Saying that, there seem to be plenty of people within Israel who are less worried about Iran. The reaction by Israel is all too familiar. If there is something that Israel doesn't like then they think that they can resort to aggression. Fortunately, Israel is becoming more isolated. I think it suits Israel to have their allies, and in particular the US, believe that they are in imminent danger from Iran. I think that you will find that my views have more support than you think, even in Israel and certainly in the EU and the US.

Help reach 7,000 signatures by tonight! Thank Stevie Wonder for canceling his performance benefiting the Israeli army.

this is a terrorist but also a coward a man who hides behind women and children
when they is trouble he runs and hides Mr Meshaal ran operations from Damascus until February this year, when the unrest there prompted another move. He now bases himself in Qatar and Egypt

TANKER - 07 Dec 2012 15:35 - 6539 of 6906

Haystack - 07 Dec 2012 15:43 - 6540 of 6906

Very sensible. He has lived in Jordan, but Israel tried to assassinate him. He may be president soon.

Fred1new - 07 Dec 2012 16:05 - 6541 of 6906

Tanker.

Why don't you go for a drink in pub in Handsworth one night and shout across the bar you represent the views of UK and the BNP.

Sure you will go down well.

Fred1new - 07 Dec 2012 16:39 - 6545 of 6906

Tanker,

You weren't born before the end of WW2.

Britain was fighting for its own survival against Hitler, not out generosity of its leaders' hearts.

Luckily for other European countries, that USA eventually joined in and the rest of the Empire did not "disown" its relationships with the UK, etc..

===============================

I think Britain's participation was justified and we were lucky.

Have a nice trip to the club and make sure you voice your opinions.

Hamas political leader Khaled Meshaal gave a fiery speech during his first ever visit to the territory.

He said he would never recognise Israel, and insisted Palestinians would never cede any part of their land

cynic - 08 Dec 2012 20:35 - 6547 of 6906

always good to have such guys centre stage, especially if it happens to be other than for domestic politicking

Haystack - 08 Dec 2012 20:40 - 6548 of 6906

Another thing he said to the people of Gaza was "keep your fingers on the trigger".

Fred1new - 08 Dec 2012 20:57 - 6549 of 6906

Just what is needed!

Haystack - 08 Dec 2012 21:01 - 6550 of 6906

They don't trust Israel. I wonder why. It's funny that Israel supported Hamas when they began in 1987 because they thought it would split the support of the PLO.

cynic - 08 Dec 2012 21:28 - 6551 of 6906

even funnier was the covert but considerable practical aid that israel afforded the yemeni royalists in the civil war of the mid 60s ..... saudi backed the same side, though i don't think they were aware of the israeli support, while america and the russians supported the "invading" egyptians who masqueraded as the republicans ....... uk ostensibly remained neutral but allowed uk mercenaries (aka private sas) to operate through aden which was then a british protectorate

clean, simple and clearcut stuff are these international politics aren't they!

TANKER - 09 Dec 2012 15:08 - 6552 of 6906
