Ah, but that's because Mr. Jauncey and Mr. Evans are sitting at their desks all day hitting the refresh button (lol)
More inclined to believe it is the work of the dealers increasing the customer bases though!
Well, off to Manchester for the weekend! Laptop in tow so I can keep an eye on all SP! HOLDING WELL CONSIDERING THE TRADES TODAY!
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND ALL!

I know we have had various calculations regarding how many customers each of the 200 or so dealers might sign up, but one figure we cannot begin to calculate is the amount of CCR numbers that individuals have registered and are using that have not gone through dealers.
I guess we may have an update when we get the trading statement in the next few days/weeks.

I have over 60 in my personal address book GV, I got my daughters all to have one registered to their mobiles and their friends too, so when they are all gassing on my home phone to their mates on mobiles, I am only coughing up 10p! (and getting a commission)!

These back of fag packet calculations are getting siller by the day.
My own back of postage stamp calcualtion indicates very small numbers of people using this system. It is certainly not particularly cheap compared with other cheap call operators and has a strange system where you have to register every number you want to call.
The market seems unimpressed as the price keeps falling!
Only one MM now on the bid of 4.3. The rest are on 4.1.
All SELLS today so far.
A further fall can be expected soon.

Question does the Alexa rating count hits if they are made through a dealers URL link ie mine www.cheapercallrate.info it goes to the CCR home page but with my web address ?

The Alexa ratings are just web site hits and not ameasure of any business done. It is a very poor measure and can easily be faked to make the numbers bigger. Very suspicious.

The type of business that EVS is in, is a high risk proposition. There is nothing wrong with the company and its products all look good. It is the valuation that I have trouble with. They cannot carry on with their current margins for ever as the cut price call market is being squeezed from several directions.
You only have to look at web sites like
http://niftylist.co.uk/
to see how cheap calls can be.
Many people on this BB and the Traders' BB are using www.18866.com and www.1899.com for their calls. Several people who have companies are also using them for cheap international calls, cheap UK calls and cheap calls to mobiles.
The web site
http://niftylist.co.uk/ gives even cheaper calls to some places than 1899 and 18866.
EVS have a new part of their company called Cheaper Call Rate. It is cheaper than BT and some call companies, but nowhere near the cheapest. Cheapness of calls is the prime mover in the cheap call market. How successful CCR becomes s anyone's guess at the moment.

There was a positive broker's update for EVS. However it was from Seymour Pierce which are EVS's house broker. It looks like they are supporting their client. Whenever did a house broker not say bullish things about their client. How often has a house broker issued a sell note. I would have thought that many people would ignore a lot of what a house broker had to say.

With www.1899.com you get UK call for 0p plus a one off connection charge of 3p. Mobiles for 10p and 3p at weekends and international calls from 0.5p
All those rates are better than CCR.

Red - in answer to your "expected in July" - Unionhall has banners (NFVDA) and there are many posts saying "expected in June".
This was IMO the reason behind the little up thats happened - and now as its not coming - down it goes.
All the talk of a trading update (NFVDA) early June was a bit naughty.
I have to agree with Haystack on the SP brokers note - its like EVO with SE0 - consistantly wrong - but the next report says the same things and moves the timescales that were missed in the last report forward another month - house broker reports are not worth much at all.

Wrong. I am not trying to ruin the thread. I am just posting my views. It is a big improvement being filtered by certain people as I can post in peace. It is a pity that there is not a reverse filer to stop some people from readig my posts.

And where did they get the info from? I would guess it was from Seymour Pierce which makes it the same as a house broker's note. Just a waste of space.

Envesta At Bargain Levels - Seymour Pierce
Monday, May 16, 2005 6:23:11 AM ET
Dow Jones Newswires
1012 GMT [Dow Jones] Seymour Pierce reiterates buy on Envesta (EVS.LN), says current fall in AIM stocks leaves shares at "bargain levels." Estimates EPS of 0.33p implying PER of 11.6x for 05, 0.62p and PER of 6.4x in 06. Believes upward revisions likely in June, post trading update as run rates imply earnings well ahead of Seymour Pierce forecasts. Forecasts assume no revenue from new "Cheaper Call Rate" product, but notes company says it is performing well. Expects further acquisitions "soon." Has 6.5p target, shares +5.7% at 4.1p. (PBA)
