Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

This one is for you Fred, and any other remainiacs who think €uropa holds the whip hand.

You will notice the big fat fact at the top of the graph: Trade war anybody?

As I said Max , see what they offer agree what's reasonable then walk away.

It's those silly buggers who will lose out in a game of chicken.

Looks like the murderers at it over here , Parliament in lockdown bodies seen .

Fred1new - 22 Mar 2017 15:10 - 6551 of 12628

Manuel,

Even the tories turned on Heath.

Mind it is usual for the tory rabble to turn on their leaders and scramble for their clothes or remaining rags.

-=-=-=-==

Max,

It will be easier for Germany etc. to rearrange their "deals" than the UK.

Also, the logics of distribution will be easier for the EU than the outsiders in the UK.

I wait to see.

cynic - 22 Mar 2017 15:14 - 6552 of 12628

not because of inflation methinks fred

btw, where did uncle jim go so badly wrong?

Fred1new - 22 Mar 2017 19:17 - 6553 of 12628

He accepted the job.

cynic - 22 Mar 2017 19:45 - 6554 of 12628

didn't uncle jim preside over the winter of discontent?

hardly surprising then that the country voted in a gov't that would brook no nonsense from the militant unions

Check against PMs of the period and the mess left by Heath.

But in many ways, it is "circumstances" and has similarities to Labour being held responsible for the Banking and Mortgage and financial service fiascos in America and London in 2006-2010. Bad timing.

When I play chess I am always delighted when I meet an opponent whose moves correspond with my expectancies.

Unfortunately, such games are getting less frequent.

Thinking of selling out towards middle of April.

Dil - 23 Mar 2017 10:27 - 6556 of 12628

It was the oil crisis that was the main cause of inflation while Hearh was in charge but then mainly wage inflation later in the decade.

As you say Fred Heath wasn't responsible for the oil crisis just as Brown wasn't responsible for the banking crisis which I thought Labour did a pretty good job in handling.

Dil - 23 Mar 2017 10:38 - 6557 of 12628

... or maybe it was joining the EU that caused it Fred.

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2017 12:50 - 6558 of 12628

Or Manuel being born.

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2017 12:50 - 6559 of 12628

This comes from someone who can't press the keyboard properly again .

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2017 15:07 - 6561 of 12628

Vicky,

I can press all the keys on my computer keyboard properly.

The problem is the frequency that I press them.

VICTIM - 23 Mar 2017 15:11 - 6562 of 12628

Yes you are very pressing in fact depressing .

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2017 19:03 - 6563 of 12628

HO. Ho, ho.

Put a new skirt on.

VICTIM - 24 Mar 2017 15:41 - 6564 of 12628

Has Heseltine just woke up after all these years , didn't say that about Germany anytime in the past . My god they just can't get over it can they .

Fred1new - 25 Mar 2017 12:03 - 6565 of 12628

Carswell has turned his back on UKIP.

That is dangerous.

Fred1new - 26 Mar 2017 11:20 - 6566 of 12628

Worth a glance and flick through!
