Just to clarify a few issues that are getting distorted nobody has said Asda will order 200 machines this was a business wire report similar to the one where HW later had to deny he ever said 27,000 odd machines as in the FYB email reply from him and said it was a misquote from a telephone conversation. Stanelco have never officially said 200 and if you note that the original business wire said 100 and was then replaced saying 200 I would take from that that Asda suppliers will convert 100 RF tray lidding machines and 100 Thermoforming machines making a total of only 200 and thats it !!!!

Second the third trial has no bearing on Asda orders if you read the AGM statement Philip Lovegrove says We announced in March that ASDA Stores Ltd (ASDA) would be the first to adopt GREENSEAL in the UK, anticipating several hundred machines to be adapted to use the technology during the first year at the earlier of the completion of three further trials with ASDA suppliers or the signing of the first commercial order . The first of these trials nears completion at Youngs Bluecrest, a leading ASDA supplier.

If you refer to the later RNS 23rd of May they had their first commercial order with Asda Stanelco announces that following extensive trials it has now entered into a formal commercial agreement for its GREENSEAL(TM) technology with a dedicated
ASDA supplier, endorsed by ASDA themselves. This first commercial agreement will involve the conversion of a Mondini tray-lidding machine at the chosen supplier. Stanelco cannot reveal the name of the supplier for commercially sensitive reasons.

Therefore Lovegroves earlier of statement is concluded as the first order came and no need for the trials to be complete from the 23rd of May the 1 year commercial agreement has been in place resulting in so far 2 orders with Hitchens appearing very concerned placing just 1 order and conditionally 3 more with what looks like an escape route to not order.

The agreement with Asda covers RF sealing and Thermoforming (so the recent Thermoformer news is not new) it was in the original statement by Stanelco on the 24th March RNS and Sealing AND Thermoforming forms part of the anticipated (which means nothing as a forward looking word) several hundred machines Stanelco PLC, the RF (radio frequency) applications group, is pleased to announce that it has signed a binding contract with ASDA for a 12-month exclusive agreement for the application of the Group's GREENSEAL tray lidding and thermoforming RF technology in the UK and Ireland. ASDA anticipate that several hundred machines will be adapted to utilise the technology

The whole ramp on SE0 has come from one very meaningless and forward looking statement in the RNS on the 24th March It is expected that, according to plan, this agreement will generate a revenue stream for Stanelco significantly in excess of 5m in the first year alone. It was expected according to the plan that orders would flow in April - hundreds would be there by June and several hundred in the first year which started from the first commercial order on the 23rd May however as you see all that was said was anticipated according to the plan these mean nothing and are forward looking words and they are not accountable if nothing happens and its not achieved.

There is now 11 more months of that 1 year agreement left and order level is so far 2.

Do not forget in that 24th March RNS that it said quite clearly The agreement follows successful trials at a number of different ASDA suppliers and will mean that the suppliers involved in the programme will, where practical , convert from traditional heat-sealing to Stanelco's revolutionary RF technology.

where practical means there is no binding commitment and if the suppliers can find a reason not to convert they do not convert and save their money and not pass it on to SE0.

IMHO you will see only a maximum 200 Asda supplier orders and that will be a combination of RF tray lidding conversions and Thermoformers however it may be well below that 200 figure and nobody has officially said any sales figures its only what people ramp and wish it to be.

The company as I keep saying are very clever and not committing to anything people are getting sucked into the ramping of this and believe figures which have not in reality ever been committed to.

The SE0 share price presently equates to over 1000 confirmed orders of high margin RF sealing conversions with high margin 5 year licenses. IMVHO it will take SE0 over 5 years to ever achieve this if they ever achieve it. There may also be a severe erosion of those margins in sales as can be seen by the present hiding of contract values or license fee and terms which may mean that 5000 sales are required to support the price at 22.5p.

That the price is 2005 is equivalent to the potential price in 2010 or beyond is quite amazing and shows how well its been ramped and hyped IMO.

BOMBAY (AFX) - The government has decided to put the issue of allowing foreign direct investment (FDI) in the retail sector on the back burner, refusing to submit to pressures from multinational giants, including a direct plea from Walmart CEO John Menzer, Business Standard reported.

It said a section of the government is of the view that a decision to open up the retail sector to FDI should not be taken before the World Trade Organisations Hong Kong ministerial in December this year as it is an important bargaining chip in service sector negotiations.

'There is no proposal to open up the sector in the immediate future,' the paper quoted an official as saying.

'The European Union and US see a huge opportunity in the retail sector in India. We can use this as a bargaining chip at the WTO instead of opening it up beforehand,' the official said.

Top global retail chains like Walmart, Carrefour and Tesco have been urging the government to allow FDI in retailing

How do you spot pro bashers/rampers/de rampers ? by the amount of info they churn out day after day and have you noticed what times they post, no one person can churn out that amount of info at those times unless they are awake 24/7.

Sequestor - 27 Jun 2005 08:10 - 6569 of 27111

I think we should have listened to the BPRG rampers instead of this thread.

bosley - 27 Jun 2005 08:27 - 6570 of 27111

morning all. beautiful day here.
ii, say something new , please.
seq, why do you say that?

Sequestor - 27 Jun 2005 08:39 - 6571 of 27111

Buys double sales today, encouraging start for this week. I'm afraid it's a forgone conclusion that this week certain someones will be in bashing overdrive.

Personally in my inexperienced opinion I think we will probably be ok, most spivs who pushed the price up are out already waiting for the next jump, and most of the worry about the interims is already in the price and very common knowledge. We're very settled here. I also think there is an extra tide of investors anxious to get this week finished, before another bull run. 21.5p test at worst this week, too many people will want to take a dip on any drop.

Sticking my neck out of course, and likely to get my head chopped off. I hope I'm right. Good luck all.

Sequestor - 27 Jun 2005 10:27 - 6573 of 27111

its that bloody T sell again.

bhunt1910 - 27 Jun 2005 10:32 - 6574 of 27111

Seq - apologies for being thick - can you explain the impact of the T trade - and how do you know its a sell - genuine question - still learning.

Thanks Baza

oh the highs and lows of this thread.

Bosley - so true, we need to hear something new!

is it an emryonic Tetra Pak or a Bre-X whoppa?

well. lets look at it this way. to all the "bashers" (loving that word) there is a salient point. SEO has a proven product developed over years or research and has been adopted initially by the second largest supermarket chain (at the moment). Orders are pretty low but in the words of managemnt will "snowball."
This is NOT a product still in R&D it does exist and has passed its trials with flying colours. Add to that a sizeable other business (Frog pack etc), SEO has the potential to the world leader in its chosen field. If that happens the Bre-X peak will look more like a hill.

OK, the flipside is that there loads of "if's" "but's" and "potential" built into expectations. do we need 1000 machines to justify the present valuation - yes. will they attain that level- we don't know. if they screw up or lose orders or patents are stalled or the wal mart deal never materialises then we are buggered.

that is the game in any stock. RISK. weigh up the arguments and back your favorite. the more confident you are the more money you should commit to support that view.

personally i believe that as with all areas of life and manufacturing, technology continually moves forward and at times there are transforming influences that take accepted practices and make them appear arcaic. i think SEO has the makings to change the way food products are sealed in a healthier more efficient and cheaper manner and that they will become the industry standard. If so we will see a 200million pound company transform into a multi billion enterprise.

Just ones mans view....

Morning all, Has anyone had confirmation from SEO as to when their interims will be announced?

Cheers.

Fred1new - 27 Jun 2005 10:43 - 6577 of 27111

Proptrade, Now you have lifted hearts can you buy a couple of million an lift the price.

8-)

bosley - 27 Jun 2005 10:47 - 6578 of 27111

proptrade, very nicely put. btw, what's a Bre-X peak?
seq, you weren't kidding about the boredom!!

proptrade - 27 Jun 2005 10:58 - 6579 of 27111

google it, it was the mother of all cons in the early 90's when a Gold exploration company (bre-X) basically had acerage in Borneo said they literally found gold on the ground.
the stock went up a grillion%. in the end it crashed spectacularly and the lead geologist "fell" out a helicopter after the news broke.
Anyway, i take it you now understand my point!

bhunt T trades or `protected transactions`, are often as not institutional trading, after watching several such obvious sells recently in the 1m+ range, this looks to me like another one, altho` with a question mark- but this is only MAM `s computers opinion, there appears to be a pile of shares waiting
to be dumped at every nudge forward

bhunt1910 - 27 Jun 2005 12:15 - 6581 of 27111

Thanks 4 that Seq. My own view for the week was that the price was going to trade sideways - or even marginally down until the results were announced. We know that they are going to be bad - but I think thats already in the price - a lot will depend on what little gems they throw into their forecast.

Who knows whwt will happen then it could swing either way dependednt on how the market interprets them I guess - hopefully it will only be a blip in a long term trend that continues to rise - albeit slowly.

pleasure

oh p.s. put aside all worries on the price of oil, I can virtually guarantee it will fall, as I earlier went long Brent Aug, since when it has slipped back 20 pts., I also closed a FTSE short, since when , etc. etc.- you never get boasting from me

lol

ssanebs - 27 Jun 2005 16:48 - 6583 of 27111

bhunt1910 - 27 Jun 2005 16:50 - 6584 of 27111

bhunt1910 - 27 Jun 2005 16:52 - 6585 of 27111
