How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

"scrip price of saints drifting out now at 2.16-2.18 what price are they not a lay? "

I have to be honest, I have no idea. It's not the sort of thing you can price.

Hi all

just back from Haydock.

Looked like being a bad afternoon till the missus picked out an 11-1 winner in a hurdle race where i wasnt going to have a bet lol! If Lord Transcend hadnt been beated by Captain Corelli would have come home with a large chunk but not a bd day all in all.

Anyone trading the footie? See Arsenal are losing at Bolton - cant believe Arsenal were odds on. Arsenal away record 1-2-3 Bolton home record 4-1-1 and Arsenal havent won in last 3 visits to Reebok.

Tottenham are losing to Sunderland - PMSL

I see Redknapp has quit Southampton, lot of talk on local radio up here of a mass protest at Old Trafford from the pompey fans this afternoon

Scrip, would appreciate if you could email "the news"

Southampton fans directing all their abuse at Lowe on all accounts, and they have gone 1-0 up from the spot

bakko - 03 Dec 2005 16:05 - 6601 of 10502

Out at 1.6 and all green. :-)

Bugz - 03 Dec 2005 16:07 - 6602 of 10502

Woodie.

Yeah, backed by the draw - dunno whats wrong with us at the moment.

The reason we're down 2 -0 is coz I went and broke my own betting rules-never trade on your own team!!
