THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

But I feel the press and some politicians, stoked by the press and media are hysterical at the moment.

I think the politicians should step back and reconsider what they are saying rather resorting to emotional hype.

The election was a blow to Corbyn. Meacher was a Corbyn supporter. The guy who won is on the right of the party and more like a Blairite.

He seems a decent chap and popular with the voters but he will need to perform wonders if he is going to change the hell hole that is Oldham.

Manuel.

Hays went to the Bullingdon Club in mistake for tory Central Office.

Lynton will have to put him on a shorter dog lead.

See OPEC not cutting oil output , in the week of the climate change conflab amazing . Surely this means people now using more cheap fuel causing more polution ,short memories there then . So any new technology taking a back seat for a while . Am I sort of right .

VICTIM - 04 Dec 2015 15:09 - 65921 of 81564

So there you are Fred this just shows the two faced side of life , have a World conflab on climate then go back home and produce more oil .

Fred1new - 04 Dec 2015 16:14 - 65926 of 81564

I am pondering on what the oilies maybe attempting to achieve.

cynic - 04 Dec 2015 16:15 - 65927 of 81564

partly to make it exceedingly painful for us shale producers

Fred1new - 04 Dec 2015 16:18 - 65928 of 81564

And the results?

VICTIM - 04 Dec 2015 16:23 - 65929 of 81564

Short sighted madness I think , this a finite product the more you preserve the longer it will last at higher prices . so they are storing up big problems in the future . And two faced .

VICTIM - 04 Dec 2015 16:48 - 65930 of 81564

Well just seen that the woman ( malik ) of the shootings in USA , pledged allegiance to ISIS so there is a solid connection .

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-35004172 so which 2 members of the "Con"servative party are they then?.. answers on a post card.

Haystack - 04 Dec 2015 17:58 - 65932 of 81564

OPEC and Saudi are playing a long game. A number of high cost producers have cut back but there is still an over supply. OPEC wants to maintain their market share and will not cut back production causing the price to rise. Customers will switch to lower cost producers and the higher price will give an incentive for those struggling to increase production again. OPEC seems to be calculating that production may fall in a year's time giving slightly higher prices, but seriously higher prices are probably at least a couple of years away.
