THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Roll out Goebells!

---

Any day of the week I would prefer to shake hands with Corbyn than a consummate liar as many think Cameron.

Read his tour of Europe was a success story.

But arrives home to cheers and defence of postponement of Heathrow, is spite of having an enquiry stating that it should be extended.

Who appointed the enquiry and at what cost?

-=-==

Mind he is a business man and pragmatic liar.

Thank god he is incompetent as well.

i have a feeling that choudary was already a uk resident or similar when he started on his soapbox

however, i really do feel it is totally appalling that he and his ilk, and those who commit serious crimes (to be defined) cannot have their passports revoked and be repatriated whence they came, with just UK COURTS having the jurisdiction and ruling

the process we now have is preposterous, and of course fully exploited as is the current right

frankly, i really do not think that in these circumstances the fact that they may not receive fair trial or be subject to torture or any number of nasty things in their country of origin should be but a very minor factor to be taken in to account by UK COURTS ....... to use the hackneyed phrase; if you can't do the time, don't do the crime

VICTIM - 11 Dec 2015 09:51 - 66111 of 81564

So you would shake the hand of a man who pleaded with a Judge to let a convicted fraudster/scam merchant have Xmas at home , nice one . Did this Corbyn scumbag offer to go to see the victims of these crimes , that is against 70 80 90 year olds I bet not , but just shows the depths you drop to on your one man campaign of stupidity .

jimmy b - 11 Dec 2015 09:56 - 66112 of 81564

Bet you don't get an answer from Fred on that one VIC ,although whatever he says does not interest me any more .

Fred1new - 11 Dec 2015 10:08 - 66113 of 81564

Vicky,

I would like to see the Corbyn's said "letter " and the grounds at the time for writing it.

Also, like to see the grounds for his arrest and retention available at the time"

-=-===

But, I would ban any solicitors and barrister who represented him at the time and suggest that they be struck off as well.

But, never mind I am sure some will trump those proposals.

Jimmy I always thought I'd have a bit of banter with him , but these last two days tells me a lot about him . I think seriously he is deranged , obsessed and very sad i'm afraid .

cynic - 11 Dec 2015 10:11 - 66116 of 81564

VICTIM - 11 Dec 2015 10:14 - 66117 of 81564

What appeals to the American voter is that Donald Trump is perhaps the answer to solving at least one of the massive problems that the USA has ... every elector in america has in mind some pet hatreds : whether it's immigration, unemployment, Russia, Syria, crime, etc... all the politicians have answers but none of them will solve or cure any.... but with DC, perhaps the american electorate realise, think that he will at least have a go and perhaps who knows achieve what nobody else has been able to do :...it's hope ! that might get Donald Trump elected !....

Fred1new - 11 Dec 2015 10:23 - 66120 of 81564

Vicky.

At least, I don't think I would have to wash my hands immediately after shaking Corbyn's hand.

I probably disagree with the policies and practicalities of other policies but in some ways, he is like a breath of fresh air compared with the stench of the present government leaves behind them.

But I see the tory party and the tory media are into his character assassination.

I wonder why?

Is perhaps that his "beliefs", "policies" and "practice" appear to be attractive to the general population.

Compare with watching Hunt on the NHS.

Compare Cameron's u-turns and glossing over of his failures and prancing around Europe for party political reasons at the public's expense.

-=-==
(But roll on the Boris and Zac political act, again at the expense of public funds. (TAX. being squandered for political aims.)

Fred1new - 11 Dec 2015 10:26 - 66121 of 81564

Manuel,

I can lend you a rope if you like.

As long as it is returned after use.

I would like to keep it.

Sometimes, I am sentimental.

An example of good firm honest government!

Govt Accused Of 'Gutless Move' Over Runway Delay
Business leaders say the delay in making a decision on airport expansion "is a gutless move" by the Government.

05:15, UK,
Friday 11 December 2015

The Government has delayed making a decision on airport expansion until at least next summer.

The announcement came after the Prime Minister - who had at one stage promised a decision by the end of this year - discussed the controversial issue with senior Cabinet ministers.

Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin said there was a "clear" case for airport expansion, "but it's vitally important we get the decision right so that it will benefit generations to come".

Dreams of the Bullingdon days!

Chris Carson - 11 Dec 2015 11:50 - 66125 of 81564

Well that's interesting, Freda has stated (66123)

"I probably disagree with the policies and practicalities of other policies"

Thought she was Welsh not double dutch.

What he stands for:
Ending austerity
Protecting workers' rights
Blocking welfare cuts
Scrapping tuition fees
Creating a National Education Service (like the NHS for healthcare)
Ensuring the NHS is completely publicly run
Renationalising railways
Abolishing Trident
Withdrawing from Nato
Introducing rent controls in unaffordable areas
Investing more in the arts
"I don't do personal, I don't do reaction, I don't do abuse. Life is too short and it devalues the political process. I think we should try and enhance the democratic life of this country, not reduce it to that level"
- Jeremy Corbyn

So Freda, enlighten us, to use your words WHICH of the above do you disagree with the policies and practicalities of other policies?

Don't say you haven't seen this post because you have me filtered we both know that's not true.

Chris Carson - 11 Dec 2015 12:25 - 66126 of 81564

Come on Fred!

If this is your idea of just warming up! HELLO, HELLO!!!!

Trump is just appealing to the lowest common denominator. How could you stop Muslims coming into the country? First, as it is to stop terrorism, any terrorist would deny being Muslim on entry to the US. Secondly, from where would you prevent visitors?

The UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Canada, Syria, Pakistan, Switzerland, India, Spain, Israel......... all have Muslims! Trump's other policy, is to make a list of Muslims in the US. How would you do that? It is not like a nationality where it may be recorded on a passport. That is really the trouble. He is equating Islam with a nationality.
