Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Di,

I will take a look,

Ian

Di,

I have just been looking at vod trades in terminal to see if I can recreate it, and they are streaming away no problem here. When you say they keep stopping what exactly happens, do they stop with information still there, do they disappear completely, does it try to conect to stream but not conect? Is there a specific stock you are seeing this on? If so could you give me an example.

L2 not printing all trades. What is the accuracy of the remaining L2 data?

As an aside, I'm sure I posted earlier on L2 but now can't find that post. Puzzled.

Chea,

This was highlighted to us yesterday and is being investigated - we will update you on that one when we have it resolved,

It's been happening on and off for days Ian...this morning MDX trades stopped and I only realised because the the price went down on my stockwatch and showed the last trade as different to on the MDX trades. Different stocks and boxes on my terminal stop...either the stockwatch prices stop or trades. If I then refresh to clear it I keep getting that soooooooo annoying 'Service temp unavailable'. When I eventually clear it everything works fine again until the next time! Is it linked to the service thingy???

Ian,

Thank you (hadn't checked back to yesterday's posts). For my missing post, still puzzled.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Oct 2007 08:55 - 6643 of 7315

Di,

It sounds as though your machine may be struggling to deal with the number of streaming windows you have open in terminal (just a theory), it does point to this, as the figures 'stall' as it were instead of losing connection or not being there at all.

You may want to try updating your java just to see if this improves things

http://java.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80

But on the back of that we will also take a look this end

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Oct 2007 09:07 - 6646 of 7315

morgan,

This is linked to the issue reported yesterday it is being investigated and should be reolved as soon as possible.

We will keep you updated.

Ian,

My L2 has frozen a couple of times today, when I only had 1 epic entered, BP.
I have the latest Jarva installed, and only had 2 windows open.
Just for your info to show it's not just Di has had the problem.
As said yesterday, these problems appear to be intermittent.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Oct 2007 12:03 - 6648 of 7315

greek,

The fact that it is freezing points towards something at the user end, we will take a look, but I monitor our streaming servcies in the same way as a user would and I have not seen any 'freezing' today. there could be any number of reasons for this that happen between us and you, or in a shared piece of software or configuration that you share. But we will of course monitor the situation.

Not sure if this is the same as above - but I made a small purchase on AMER at 14.18 (4000 shares) and they are not showing on level 2.

Thay are showing on ADVFM's system. Looks like it might be another supplier problem???

The accuracy of level 2 is pretty key info. I noticed that another buy for 25000 earlier in the day is also not showing - making it look as though there have been all sells on this stock - when in fact it is pretty balanced

Ian,

Thanks, will look into it my end. Sorry delay in reply but been out.

Morning,

My stockwatch wont open. There is just an X in the top left hand corner. I have loged out and back in, and have checked my Jarva (latest version) is working, to no avail. I also get the message IE can't connect.

James(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2007 08:12 - 6653 of 7315

greekman,

First, could you try clearing your cookies: Close all instances of Internet Explorer, go into Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Delete Cookies (or 'Delete... ' under 'Browsing History' if you're using Internet Explorer 7), then restart Internet Explorer and log back into MoneyAM.

If that doesn't work, could you try installing Firefox, and accessing MoneyAM through that? If it works in Firefox, then it indicates that there is a problem with your Internet Explorer configuration.

You can download Firefox here:

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Thanks, James.

greekman - 24 Oct 2007 08:17 - 6654 of 7315

James,

Thanks but after 3 attempts to log back into Moneyam and twice getting the fault 503 site temporary unavailable due to maintenance, it's now working fine.
(I clear my cookies end of every day).
B....y computers.
