Not advocating a that the police are not allowed necessary weapons, but don't wish to see the unnecessary flaunting of weaponry, nor gun ho killings on the street.

From memory, America with all its guns and armed police have a higher percent of "murder" than the Europe.

The betting doesn't match the polls. The polls are generally saying that it is pretty even. A more accurate view won't appear until the result of negotiations is settled and the two sides start campaigning ahead of the referendum. The don't know camp is huge at the moment amounting to 37% in some polls. I think we will vote to stay in due to fear.

It doesn't matter what the vote amongst the MPs is. The result of the referendum is the deciding factor.

Talking sensibly....people seem to be worried about how far are the airports....in the future : transport is bound to speed up...it will do...getting to and back catching a plane is going to be easier due to improved rail/road networks....jobs at heathrow :...it will take at least more than a decade or perhaps two to build an estuary airport !....heathrow would carry on until at least one runway was complete....people retire...newcomers employed at heathrow would have to agree that further..much further down the line ; they will be the other side of London....what's the big deal about change here ?...transport is speeding up....

If the concern is really about travel time to and from central londonistan, then it's hard to beat Gatwick, 30 minutes by train. Cheap as chips as well....Less than £20

The problem was that he wasn't from Eton, the Masonic Hall, or the right Club and that stuck in the throat of many of the Cons Party old leadership.

The party at his time was as split then as it is now.

The problems of labour have some similarity and much of their problems are due to those who think they should be in power, but were rejected by the party membership.

Nice an quite.... quite. Each man will have his vote, even former tory ministers have that privilege. You can be sure his wont be a "postal vote" that the left like so much.

There will have to be postal voting as there was in the Scottish referendum. You cannot disenfranchise people who cannot get to the voting stations. It is mandatory in the Representation of the People Act.

Postal voting with verification is fine.

Anything else is an invitation to fraud.
