Stanley Mathews was the first ballon d'or winner....British winners include also Dennis law...George best...Bobby Charlton (a curiosity that these ManU players won it every two years in the sixties)…....Kevin Keegan (twice....unlucky not to have won a treble)….and Michael Owen....

ManU won the FA Cup, the European Cup and the first Div title three times with attacking football under Busby so not that surprising to have Law,Best and Charlton win it really RF.

Good win CD , only the second time this season that we haven't still been in it with 10 minutes to go.
Could have been different if Ralls had scored from the spot or Camarasa has taken his chance just after half time. Blew us away in 10 minutes just after that.
Southampton home Saturday.

Missed a penalty did you ? Your lot are getting more useless by the game ... and probably be below us on Saturday night as Southampton win on that "team plays better after sacking the manager" bounce 😂

Stan , we have only had 3 bad games all season Man City battered us , West Ham were out of sight after 60 minutes but could have been so different and Burnley who we battered but failed to take our chances.
We spent about 50p in the summer transfer window but with a bit of luck could be debt free by end of season. Downside is that we've had a centre half playing full back all season and a player we bought as a full back playing centre forward for the last 8 games.
Team now picks itself but no strength in the squad so no rotation or chance to rest players.
Even after that we still aren't in the bottom three , everyone is still behind the club and manager and a couple of decent signings and we could defy the odds by staying up.
What's your excuse :-)

Only clubs like yours have excuses...whilst we have very good reasons I.E. after last seasons magnificent achievement of finishing so high in the league and qualifying for Europe + 4 players rightly become England internationals, some players seem to have got above themselves and forgotten how we got there.
Along with the new adventure of playing in Europe with all the vagaries of that, not surprisingly the results have been disappointing to put it mildly.
So until the players who are not performing start to wake and start, Burnley will struggle.
... Could be this week with two home games at the Fortress of which I will be in attendance to help swell the crowd and hopefully witness 3 points at least.

Ah yes Europe a novelty for you lot , not got the same pedigree as us in that department which includes a semi final and a famous victory against Real Madrid.
As for internationals , 6 of our starting line up last night were on international duty a couple of weeks ago.
Last season was a blip Stan , even Scumsea had one but now in all honesty you are where you belong.
Wait til next season when you have to sell all your under performing over paid players , you'll be stuck in the championship for years. If we go down we'll have a better team than when we got promoted and money to spend.
Enjoy the game tonight , probably see a shed load of goals :-)

I hope so Dil if only for the reason that it may boost my Fantasy Football position. Regards to any Burnley postings I make I am not coming from a position of strength.

Omg , apperevtly Stan wasn't 'informed' before the match that Burnley would get stuffed and now wants a people's replay !
Your worse than Cardiff and for that reason alone your going down :-)
Happy days.

Liverpool know they’ve been in a game tonight, that was the Burnley of last season and no way are they going down with displays like that.. looking forward to giving your lot the stuffing you deserve to complete the double over you.
Brighton next and a win looking very likely...so it’s good night from me.

Dil,
I do hope your lot (now also known as the ''Pensioner's'') scrape home against Samton as someone has them down as a win in an 8 match investment this afternoon.

Well done the pensioners trouble was poxy Man City was the only one down I had them down for a draw, nearly a thousand smackers if it had come up.
Burnley should have thrashed Brighton still a win is a win...looking like another top seven finish this season 😃
