Biodegradable corks !
Carlco capsule project mentioned for the first time, could have been prompted by my posting the info on that 3 to 4 weeks ago :)
Only one cautionary statement, loads of bullish statements
I think a few sells by the impatient, and a lot of buying by the clever longs
Cheers,

As I have described above, we are making good progress on a number of projects
which have the capability to change fundamentally the dynamics of their target
markets and which will build substantial value for our shareholders. This will
not happen overnight, but we expect momentum to continue to build in coming
months both in relation to GREENSEAL(TM) and to the exciting range of products
within the Biotec portfolio.

Looking at the trading, I think the markets reaction to these interims is best described as ambivilent (though possibly spelled better!)

Very happy with interims. Everything is progressing well, things are going very much to plan. Recent share placing out the way, which seems to be giving the price good support. Lots more to come in the future - what else could you ask for...
Oh ASDA anticipate that several hundred machines will be adapted in the next 12 months! happy days

Probably a little too early in the morning to be sure, but the Market reaction seems more positive than negative so far. I think I can put my tin hat away now! Being a pessemistic soul I was rather expecting a lot worse.

Agreed, it does now appear slightly more + than -.
I just expected either a rush of buys on good news/hints or a rush of sells on poor financials. We seem to have a rush of apathy which is almost certainly for the best!!!

Interims not as bad as i expected. There will always be start-up costs with any new products.Nice to see 'several hundred'machines mentioned. As the year goes on i am sure we will get a snowball effect from suppliers, then the profits will start to come in. This can only be good news for shareholders. Those of us in for the long term should see a big increase in the sp by next year, even more in the years to come.

bos - serious Q-why is the co. so secretive about the true amount of m/c`s around, I mean Ford motor co. would be boasting of increased sales, why do we all have to guess, read between the lines and generally be subjected to the old " mushroom management"?
cheers

Credentials from the start. I am a SEO holder and bullish about the stock.
Talk of snowballs and big increases in the sp bother me though. Firstly because it gives some members something to fire back at but more importantly, IMO, any business can only grow exponentially if it is fed hard cash. This comes from either profits or investors. I have no doubt at all that the idea is sound and that it will become an industry benchmark for food packaging (not as convinced by frogpack), but R&D and then marketing are expensive little bunnies, and that is why we are seeing a loss at the moment.
The trick now is to make Greenseal wash its own face, and more important than an RNS stating X number of machines sold to ASDA suppliers is one stating that the Greenseal project is one stating that it is profitable. This may be sometime coming, but I am in for the long haul, and so I am a little more cautious than some posters. My only real concern therefore is that profits from Greenseal (When they come, not if) are eaten up by R&D or marketing on a non starter.
There, cautious bit out of the way.
LETS MAKE SOME SERIOUS MONEY, SEO.

I don't think they are being secretive Seq, they're just taking a very level headed and measured approach. Rather leave some element of guess work then make any suggestive statements that are not 100% likely to come true.

hmmmm, maybe , I prefer upfront cos., if the board are share-holders, they would be happy to release info.to the public for obvious reasons, the guess work becomes silly when prats like PMT can come out with outlandish figures- and then pump and dump I note-to be followed by ii saying ` er no only one m/c.
Clarity is always helpful.

seq, i think what has become very clear from these interims is, that seo have made the leap from what they were , into what they are now; an ip company trying to sell their new technology . i think the company are as hopeful as we are as to how greenseal will sell, but , like the rest of us , they have to wait and see how many packers bite and for how many machines. at the moment it's a bit of a waiting game, and i have been waiting for two years now, so i don't mind waiting a bit longer. hopefully the biotec deal will go smoothly. the starch trays part of seo was my original reason for investing so i'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. greenseal , frogpack , ingel and the rest are just nice bonuses for me.

Anyone have level 2? Proptrade? Buys far outweighing sales at the moment. Would be a cheeky end to the day if we ended up.
Are we getting some MM games now?

hewittalan has come closest to what's important in these results IMHO - cashflow.
They spent roughly 600k on operating loss (net of depreciation, amortisation etc) and about 900k on research and development and fixed assets - cash used 1.5m. They have 3m cash on the B/S - so a years' worth at current rate.
ASDA roll out has on many occasions been linked with 5m turnover over next 12 months, let's say conservatively 1.75m the next 6 months and 3.25m 1st 6 months of 2006. So on curernt cash usage, they are cash break even the 2nd 6 months of this year and next year start to put serious cash back onto the B/S from trading not more share placing.
IMHO one of the great strengths of the management is the carefully integrated pace of their development with thorough market testing and steady roll out. The resulkt is actually a faster bringing to market than many more rapid approaches and, overridingly important an ability to stay solvent whilst it happens.
Meanwhile 1,618k buys to 674k sells tells us what the market thinks. What reason on earth can you think of to sell?
