THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

fred - i'm afraid i see little other than gloom for 2016 on all fronts to a greater or lesser extent ..... events may prove otherwise, not least because there are always loads of unknowns

Good advert for that axe EL, until he hits a few knots in the wood.

and i wonder how easy or hard it is to split hardwood logs - eg beech or hawthorn and the like, let alone sweet chestnut that does not have straight grain

Not enough to go on yet.

But, already I feel I am suffering from information overload.

Reality says I did reasonably well last year but I am thinking of placing tightish stop losses on all my portfolios.

Unless, I get stopped out first!

cynic - 01 Jan 2016 17:24 - 66652 of 81564

stop-losses always worry me, especially with indices, as spikes can easily crucify

Why Corbyn can sit back and watch the con party implode over the EU.

(However, the problem seems to be for many, is that Cameron, Osborne and his neo-cons are taking some of the country with them.)

Guys.....talkin' cricket....there might be a decent bet on England to win the second test match in South Africa......odds are good (for the moment)...and we seem to have batting stamina ...a quality England didn't always have in the past....hope I don't jinx a superb performance overall so far !....

Dave's new year pressy from Comrade Corbyn...

Jeremy Corbyn 'planning to replace Hilary Benn with Emily Thornberry' in reshuffle

Friends of the Labour leader have told The Sunday Telegraph that Mr Benn will be offered another job and Ms Thornberry will take his place as foreign secretary

By Kate McCann, Senior Political Correspondent

Jeremy Corbyn is lining up Emily Thornberry as his new foreign secretary to replace Hilary Benn, in a reshuffle of his shadow cabinet expected next week, the Sunday Telegraph understands.

The Labour leader is planning to appoint Ms Thornberry, the former shadow attorney general, in place of Mr Benn who openly defied him and backed plans to bomb ISIL targets in Syria according to friends of Mr Corbyn.

Mr Benn is expected to be offered another job in the shadow cabinet although it is not clear if he will accept an alternative position.

Wishing you all a good year for 2016.. especially Fred for his continued education of the right wing extremists on here.

cynic - 03 Jan 2016 09:20 - 66661 of 81564

if fred ever learnt that it's quality not quantity that was more effective - ask any advertising agency - then some might pay at least some attention to his perpetual stream of diatribe

asking him to post anything balanced would be like asking the russians, chinese and americans to collaborate in sorting out the multiple disasters in m/e

Happy New Year Stan! You really need to get out more, who needs enemies when you have Fred for a friend LOL!!
