Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

cant get l2 and the login keeps appearing

IanT(MoneyAM) - 26 Oct 2007 09:28 - 6667 of 7315

PW,

Sound slike you are having a problem with the session cookie we set when you login. Firstly, check that the time and date on your machine are correct. Secondly, try going to the home page, clicking on log out and then log back in and try again.

If this does not work, try going to tools on IE, internet options, then privacy, advanced and make sure you have a tick next to override automatic cookie handling and one next to always allow session cookies.

Finally if none of the above works, you will need to make sure cookies ar enabled in your firewall.

Ian, I can't get the Shares mag online again - can you readjust my settings as last week's subscription copy didn't arrive so would like to look at the online version. Thanks.

Seymour,

I will take a look into it and get back to you,

Ian - has the format of the level2 screen changed today, as no mm epics or blue/red arrows showing.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Oct 2007 13:32 - 6671 of 7315

martin,

can you give me an example of an epic you are looking at as there have been no changes to the layout of level 2 - The LSE did release their final MiFID upgrades on the weekend, which may account for what you are seeing.

Ian

Edit - there is furthe information about this on this trhead http://www.moneyam.com/TradersRoom/posts.php?tid=12002#lastread

martin036 - 29 Oct 2007 13:58 - 6672 of 7315

Doh!! I had changed the screen veiw to "summary" from "all orders".So alls ok.
What I would like to suggest though is that the latest trades on the L2 screen be level with the order book, and not level with the mid price strip, reason being I like to have a L2 screen minimised at the bottom of my screen and it is handy to see the latest trades directly alongside the order book, if that makes sense!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Oct 2007 14:00 - 6673 of 7315

Thakns for letting me know MArtin.

The trades are laid out like that so that it takes advantage of the whole of that right hand side therefore giving a view of more of the trades at any one time.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Oct 2007 15:51 - 6677 of 7315

Seymour,

You should be back up and running now - e mailme if you have any further problems, ian@moneyam.com

Seymour Clearly - 29 Oct 2007 15:54 - 6678 of 7315

In now Ian, thanks very much.

Seymour Clearly - 29 Oct 2007 16:57 - 6679 of 7315

Ian, have sent you another email - but I can't get into the magazine any more. Tried to download a pdf for later and it crashed out and since then I just get the home page when I click on the "Read this week's issue" button. Going round in circles :-(

IanT(MoneyAM) - 30 Oct 2007 07:04 - 6680 of 7315

Seymour,

Apologiues for the delay - I have just tried it here with no problems - are you still having problems this morning? If so it could potentially be a cookie issue so may be worthwhile clearing out your cookies and doing a restart on the machine. On IE go to tools, delete browsing history and then delete cookies. Be aware that this will remove any passwords you have saved as cookies on your machine. Let me know how you get on,

Ian

Have been disconnected from site for some minutes. Error messages ranged from 'the site may be down' to 'does not have permission to connect'. Was it just me?
