THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I had to go to a shop in Holloway, North London today. I was passing the end of the road where Corbyn lives. It is Berriman Road, number 48 I think. You can tell which one it is by the tatty wooden fence. If you think he has poor taste in clothes then you should see his curtains. You can view the house on Street View on Google Maps. It is is more or less the same except that in the first floor window now has loads of cactus plants in it.

How very interesting zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Haystack - 04 Jan 2016 19:13 - 66688 of 81564

Nothing else about Corbyn is very interesting. He seems to be the person that style has passed by.

Stan - 04 Jan 2016 19:22 - 66689 of 81564

.. Bit like yourself then.

Haystack - 04 Jan 2016 19:57 - 66690 of 81564

One of the great mysteries of life is that the lefties have absolutely no style. That applies in their dress sense, their conversations and even the things they post on social media. Their lack of style is only superseded by their lack of humour. No wonder they struggle to have any appeal to the electorate. Drab Corbyn has become the pinup of the left as he embodies the whole range of bad personality traits that lefties aspire to.

Good to see that the electorate does have better taste

Sudanese man who walked into UK via Channel tunnel granted asylum

Abdul Haroun was arrested in August after walking nearly 31 miles through tunnel, but charges may now be dropped

Monday 4 January 2016 13.51 GMT

A Sudanese man who allegedly walked almost the entire length of the 31-mile Channel tunnel from France has been granted asylum in the UK.

Abdul Haroun, who was arrested at the English end of the tunnel in August and charged with obstructing a railway under an obscure 19th-century law, has been held in prison since then. He was to face trial this month.

At a brief hearing at Canterbury crown court, where Harount appeared via video-link from prison and spoke only to confirm his name, the prosecutor Philip Bennetts said the 40-year-old had been granted asylum on 24 December.

inevitably, one asks why, and if him, why not the 0,000s of others?

at least it can be shown with some certainty that he came from a genuine war zone, but no longer on the same vicious scale as syria, or at least not as far as i know

Fred1new - 05 Jan 2016 08:56 - 66694 of 81564

Good friends.

as i wrote yesterday, the saudi perspective is very different from what we are told here ..... both versions will have an element of truth, though i suspect neither the unbiased truth ....... fred, you'll need to check into your fossilised brain to see if that word even resides there

Still no wickets...(:(....I might as well go back to texting girls...at least you know you can trust them......

cynic - 05 Jan 2016 09:51 - 66697 of 81564

temporary wives will always love both you and your wallet

Fred1new - 05 Jan 2016 10:10 - 66698 of 81564

Manuel.

Rather than shooting your fingers off, Get Paul Mason's Postcapitalism and try to read it and then sit back and do your best to understand it.

You will have some difficulties, but do try.

cynic - 05 Jan 2016 10:22 - 66699 of 81564

typically changing the subject ..... why on earth should i bother with some gobbledegook book? ...... life's too short for such

jimmy b - 05 Jan 2016 10:27 - 66700 of 81564

Your not still reading Fred's rubbish are you ? his brain is so biased you will never get any debate and bare in mind this is a bloke who thinks Corbyn and Diane Abbott should be running Britain ..

jimmy b - 05 Jan 2016 10:48 - 66701 of 81564

See they are still stoning women to death in the ME , i suppose the scum still live in the middle ages .

Fred1new - 05 Jan 2016 10:50 - 66702 of 81564

Manuel,

That is probably why you remain ignorant with your barrow boy mentality.

Fred1new - 05 Jan 2016 10:51 - 66703 of 81564

JB,

You are obviously adding mind reading to you inadequate skills.

Have a good day!
