This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.
Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........
MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture
We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.
Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.
This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)
The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.
Please DYOR
cheers GF.

gf, sold one of my two tranches at 150% profit. Why? Locks in some profit and tomorrow I'm taking the missus away for the weekend so can't keep in touch with what happens. Now whatever happens I have profit plus I still have >50% of my holding now running as freebies. Even if the news is good and it flies, I have profit and shares and I believe it will come back again between news of Ruthenium. If any delays to genvax or speculators make it fall I can get some more with the cash I've made but this time more of them. Either way the MMG story and portfolio is good but now I can relax this weekend with cash locked in! MMG still one of my 3 tips for 2005, the others were SEO and IDS!!
Not a bad year so far, crap today though!!

Glorious day folks, just about to set-off for a weekend away. Happy with MMG, took some good profit yesterday and happy whatever happens as I still own MMG shares. Up and more profit, down cos too many speculators and we get chance to buy more back. Exciting times at last for MMG, even though I bought last year on the potential, it has been quite boring until now but here we go folks, the first of many days like this for 2005.

You guy's know as well as me that news leaks, I think if the genvax news was going to be negative or poor the share price would now be heading south............. Rob with his finger on the button (and his legs crossed)
