The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.
Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

I think you're right there Jimmy.
If the news story is correct it is just about the worse news possible. I always kept clinging to the hope that this plant would be producing by the end of december and that had to work in its favour for any funding issues. Now that appears not be the case, who will give them money when the deadline keeps getting put back and back, will it ever work at all?
However is there any reason to believe this journalists' knowledge is any better than the one saying Toscafield would put up more money at 80p a share?
As always the company leaves shareholders in the dark yet again.
I hadn't realised when I put so much money in this share how much of a gamble it was, I think I might well have ended up better off if I'd put it all into lottery tickets instead!
To any shareholders out there, David77 on ADVFN is collecting a list of small share holders, in case collectively we might wield more power. Email him at stonebanks@ntlworld.com with your name, amount of shares held, and whether you hold certificates or they are in a nominee account, if you're interested.

Is Blair clever enough to use the opportunity. He failed to help British Energy when it was cheap.... Tax payers are now paying the full price for it.
BGY was 3.5p at the time its shareholders were begging the government to help.

Neither can i !!!,if you think Blair gives a s...t ,think again ,
Frampton you may have a point about journalists ,they are looking for a story ,what ever it is .. However i tend to believe that the plant will be delayed and that's why they are in further talks . Do the bank bail them out (again) or as they are saying over on the other side ,try to steal it . You may think i'm an optimist but i'm not sure we have lost all, i'm 50 - 50 ..

I agree Jimmy, the plant being delayed seems the most likely reason for more funds being needed, just clutching at straws here. I hope you are right to be optimistic, I don't know what to believe. I'm trying to get used to the idea I have lost everything, then if we do get anything back, however small, it will seem like a bonus!

The good thing about holding BFC is it means I'm hardly noticing the loss on LGB - I stand to loose 8x more on this share.

Just found this as well..
as The Times December 02, 2005
Rumour of the day
Followers of Biofuels, the biodiesel producer suspended last month at 145p pending refinancing talks, hear trading in the shares is set to resume shortly as discussions with Barclays, which is tipped to provide a 70 million facility, near conclusion. The fact that Biofuels has avoided issuing fresh equity could trigger a short squeeze among bears, who will be forced to buy stock to cover their positions.

Or
Today's Independent
Finally, Biofuels was said to be about to return from suspensions after securing new funding. The biodiesel group is believe to have won the backing of Royal Bank of Scotland and it may see its shares re-listed as soon as today, according to market whispers.
Last month, Biofuels was suspended at 145.5p as the company went away to try and win fresh cash. At the time it warned that the future viability of the company was dependent on it being successful.
