I am still looking for thre trend change and there is no sign of it.

oilyrag - 19 Dec 2006 12:06 - 68 of 109

I missed the boat 9 months ago, I'm not going to miss it this time. 2006 saw 8p to 28p and back, so anything below 8p would be a bargain.

seawallwalker - 19 Dec 2006 12:20 - 69 of 109

oilyrag I have been doing a little research, have you kept up with this?

I didn't, but there are some valueable posts on TMF worth reading.

This is the first thread

This is a thread so read it top to bottom.

This none is the most informative.

oilyrag - 19 Dec 2006 14:42 - 70 of 109

Thanks very much SWW. I have read most of these threads and found them to be very informative. The last one I found, although long winded, very well put over.

seawallwalker - 19 Dec 2006 14:55 - 71 of 109

Well like you I am looking to come in, but now I will want to be reassured all is well.

Uptrend would o it with good volume, the market rarely gets it wrong.

Andy - 19 Dec 2006 16:26 - 72 of 109

Sww,

"but now I will want to be reassured all is well"

Me too!

I am holding off a planned purchase for now, until such time as some clarification of yesterday's RNS.

oilyrag - 20 Dec 2006 07:06 - 73 of 109

One overriding thought is that, the institutions would require considerably more quarantees than us, before parting with 5.535 million on their recent flotation. If my memory serves me correctly, they mentioned in one of the threads about not needing a further floatation. These are the sort of conflicting statements that muddy the waters. If the institutions paid 5p, then thats the price I want to pay.

garymegson - 20 Dec 2006 09:30 - 74 of 109

The 5.535 million was at a price of 13.5p

oilyrag - 21 Dec 2006 07:01 - 75 of 109

Sorry Gary, getting confused with the warrants.

Marcel1970 - 03 Jan 2007 08:59 - 76 of 109

Anyone have any thought on why SCR seems tobe going back up quite quickly.

garymegson - 03 Jan 2007 09:41 - 77 of 109

Marcel1970 - 03 Jan 2007 10:08 - 78 of 109

SOMETHING BREWING

Andy - 03 Jan 2007 16:53 - 79 of 109

marcel1970,

Well the market certainly agrees with you!

A healthy 30% rise today, on high volume, possibly suggests a turning point in sentiment at least.

SCR have to deliver now, Denfang grades are required, and if SRK have done their job, we may well hear before the AGM later this month,

boxerdog - 03 Jan 2007 17:04 - 80 of 109

Not before time!.

Andy - 03 Jan 2007 18:16 - 81 of 109

Boxer,

I agree, SCR was well oversold IMO.

Looking at the chart, providing the price at least holds in the next day or so, it has just broken the downtrend, but we need at least one more trading day to confirm.

garymegson - 04 Jan 2007 08:38 - 82 of 109

South China Resources added 2.75p to 11.75p with more than 13m shares changing hands, around 10 times the normal amount. Traders said one potential buyer had been waiting for the right time to acquire stock, and had now decided to make a move. The company recently announced a joint venture copper project in Tibet, which it said would have a significant impact on its business and promised a more detailed announcement shortly.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

South China Resources was also in demand, gaining 2-1/4 pence at 11-1/4, following the announcement of the acquisition of 53 pct of a copper project in Chinese Tibet for 6.8 mln usd.

In response, Hichens Harrison noted that SCR has indicated the potential for further acquisitions for some time. The broker expects full details of the project later this week, but believe the project to have very large dimensions.

It concluded that although remote and at altitude, neither of these factors will prevent a major development

garymegson - 05 Jan 2007 14:12 - 85 of 109
