26 May 2005 World Television Group Contract Win

World Television Group is delighted to announce that the UK Government's Foreign and Commonwealth Office has announced its intention, subject to contract, to award the British Satellite News (BSN) contract to World Television.

This contract, expected to run from October 2005, is for three years with a further two year option period. There will be an uplift in value to fund additional news story production compared with the previous contract. World Television has been providing this service for BSN under a previous contract which expires on 30 September 2005. The new contract was won against strong competition from leading broadcast news providers following a demanding tender process.

The BSN service provides daily news stories about Britain to around 440 broadcasters around the world, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. It is one of the world's most successful public diplomacy news services.

Jon King, Group CEO, says 'This confirms World Television as one of the premier news producers in the world. We provide the highest quality editorial and technical service for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office which meets their communication objectives and the needs of global broadcasters. Winning this major contract is testament to the talent, production excellence and hard work of our team. We look forward to the development of the BSN service in the future.'

Found article below, further evidence that podcasting technology is being adopted. AS WTV have contracts with government, I wonder if a new contract win will be announced???

UK Telegraph Promotes Podcasting to Front Page
May 08, 2006
The UK's Daily Telegraph, one of the first newspapers to podcast, has redesigned its site. Notable is prominent featuring of the sites podcasts:

The placement highlights that fact that some newspapers are beginning to see podcasting and video podcasting as a way to branch into media that has previously been dominated by radio and television.

BIZPACK - 10 May 2006 19:54 - 68 of 251

Global nomad, that is the problem. No interest in this stock.

Trades not promising once again but the CFO still not buying stock does nothing for confidence.

explosive - 11 May 2006 01:12 - 69 of 251

Were already stating to see interest "UK Telegraph Promotes Podcasting to Front Page". Obviously the function/service will be more commonly used meaning the companies demand for Podcasting has increased! Now lets see if other media companies in this sector follow suit. New technology always takes a while to catch on or just get left behind. Podcasting has started to catch on and the market seams to like it (Heard no bad reports yet!). And I can't see any better developments being introduced into the market so won't get left behind.

explosive - 11 May 2006 11:05 - 70 of 251

235,000 buys against 75,000 sells all buys at 1.05 an the sp falls, time I think for the bid to increase.

BIZPACK - 11 May 2006 20:06 - 71 of 251

You missed that large sell explosive could it be the market in general that is having this effect.

I only hope wtv have something positive to say about their Podcasting business very soon, as you seem to suggest.

None of the Podcasts on the site you listed seem to use WTV`s software or streaming services. I could be very wrong, if so can you put up a link please.

Looks like I should have got out at 1.25 after all but I was unable to, being at work at the time.

I am looking at EIT as a recovery stock, any views?

explosive - 12 May 2006 11:19 - 72 of 251

Bizpack, although not all companies will use WTV to podcast, at this stage any company adopting to Podcasting increases the market sector demand for the technology. Its really evidence of usage that I'm looking for which tells me the technology has a sustained usage within the market.

Personaly I think WTV will progress so far on its own before either making aquisitions or be snapped up its self. The fact that WTV should post a 2006 profit will help the sp rise. The Daily Telegraph uses Podcasting so that its articles can be viewed online or mobile whilst not buying an actual paper, not only does this increase the Daily Telegraphs market exposure but also introduces people to Podcasting. We know that O2 and WTV signed a contract however for what I'm not sure, I suspect O2 will provide as it does on most sporting events coverage of the World Cup on mobile, will WTV be providing this?

WTV win 9 awards in one week.
http://www.world-television.com/index.php?id=28&news=70&newspage=1

Yet again WTV awarded for the filming and production of great podcasts, this further increases their portfolio of quality documents essential for tendering brand names.

I had a look at EIT and personaly I wouldn't buy them. Loss making company and couldn't find any contracts or sales for their technology.

BIZPACK - 12 May 2006 18:39 - 73 of 251

Explosive, Thanks about EIT.

I must have missed the contract with 02, can you tell me where to find the story please.

explosive - 15 May 2006 10:21 - 74 of 251

Bizpack, if you look at the tread header there was an RNS posted on the 28th October. Have yet to find out more on the O2 new business win, I think this possibly not listed on WTVs web site as the contract is yet to be fulfilled.

Operational Highlights

* Successfully won British Satellite News (BSN) contract, at increased value with
the UK Government Foreign and Commonwealth Office
* Other new business wins include - BAA, 02 and Microsoft
* Disposal of loss making subsidiary Kamera completed in March 2005, into special
purpose vehicle (SPV) and will accrete value over next 3 years
* Announced today - appointment of Evelyn Kimber as the new Chief Financial
Officer

BIZPACK - 16 May 2006 19:37 - 75 of 251

I checked the RNS explosive and could only see the BSN one on that date. I acknowledge they have flagged it as a new business win but I doubt it can have been that large or they would have had to state that it was, if it was worth over 10% of the companies turnover.

I made the mistake of hanging on, only to see it fall back to former lows. It could be a buying oppertunity or another chance to get locked in, or still fall further.Easy, with hindsight.

Seems odd that the chairman bought at 1.25p just two weeks ago,and then it falls as low as this.

You said you would buy again at .92p have you added?

I am tempted to add with profits earned on others but I am worried about getting sucked in for a long time. If I do I`ll take small profits on the way upwards this time.

explosive - 17 May 2006 09:34 - 76 of 251

Limit order set at .85 for a further 30K shares

BIZPACK - 18 May 2006 19:21 - 77 of 251

It all looks pretty dead explosive. I looked at the trades today and see a 30K trade but at a higher than your limit, so did you up it today and get the order filled?

Great price.

Nothing new in the way of news though from the company. so lets hope it picks up as AGM comes near.

Holding on to my spare cash as the market looks bad at present.

explosive - 18 May 2006 19:33 - 78 of 251

That trade wasn't mine Bizpack, I expect this share will just coast now for a while until the AGM

BIZPACK - 19 May 2006 19:44 - 79 of 251

I see they traded at .85 today but no 30k trade, I take it you cancelled your order explosive.

I think the price will drop looking at the amount of sells today. I need to get my timing right.

explosive - 23 May 2006 18:07 - 80 of 251

Bid stands at .75, no reason for the fall and expecting the stock to bounce back to 1 at least. Stance now can only be a hold whilst I confirm nothing has changed..

BIZPACK - 24 May 2006 20:43 - 81 of 251

The reason it should without news explosive?

Next to no interest in it now by the looks of it.

explosive - 25 May 2006 10:58 - 82 of 251

Very frustrating I know, on the 25th July '06 WTV has its AGM and will also release its 2005 final results. Preliminary results are very good see below link (Intrestingly in operational highlights "Secured 85 new client wins including BAA, Virgin Mobile, Toyata, O2 & Microsoft").

http://www.world-television.com/files/Final%20Prelim%20statement%2027%20April%2006.pdf

Also Brewin Dolphin Securities April '06 research keeps WTV at a 'Strong Buy' see below.

http://www.world-television.com/files/WTV_Prelims_28-Apr-06%20Brokers%20Note.pdf

With Bissons Ltd buying and Mike Neville increasing his holding I'm confident theres something in the pipework and WTV are starting to do business with some very large respectible corporate companies.

In my mind nothing has changed from when I bought this stock, in fact consensus has become better with director dealings. So I'll wait out this low as I still believe a tick up will come.

BIZPACK - 27 May 2006 19:38 - 83 of 251

Lets hope its just the market shivers that caused the fall explosive. I expect the stock will improve when they announce the name of the new chairman, if he/she is better regarded than Mr.Neville, whom still retained the whiff of the old VTB troubles and misdeads.

WTV, need new contracts though to make this run or make a very strong trading statement.

Do you know anything about the Intel work done?

explosive - 27 May 2006 20:59 - 84 of 251

Well 85 new contracts were signed in 2005, unfortunatly I haven't details of these except of the solutions posted on WTVs website. I'm sure we'll see something for the world cup and hoping it'll tie into the mobile networks O2 and Virgin.

Oh reference the intel work done, click on the link below for the full story....

http://www.world-television.com/intel/

BIZPACK - 30 May 2006 17:50 - 85 of 251

A depressed market but better looking blue at WTV. It seems that the larger buyer is back in the market taking a million at .85p today. its only 8.500.00 in total but a few of those soon add up.

Only a small amount sold to the market makers today even though late trading sent the market southwards could be a very good sign.

explosive - 01 Jun 2006 15:17 - 86 of 251

The 15,744 trade showing as a ? is a buy. I know as its mine!
