Agreed Foale, I'm happy to keep posting as long as you want :-0

Nice to see that low came, stopped me out, and went back up. I think no positions until after the rate decision for me now, then it's a long or a short with a wide stop!!

foale - 08 Nov 2006 17:46 - 6707 of 11056

SC are your stops in propoprton to your target...the old risk reward ratio, or set below supports..old lows etc.

I used to get stopped out much more...by say 2 pips then it would reverse...really annoying that.

I try to allow more rooom now..after considering how things look in varoius timeframes. ( of course "more room" a euphemism for more unrealised loss...)

Although starting at the long end and working in...also gave me a better perspective too..."Wood for the trees" and all that..

Seymour Clearly - 08 Nov 2006 18:16 - 6708 of 11056

Agreed Foale, I know how it works, just application. Your euphemism strikes a chord :-)

Melnibone - 08 Nov 2006 19:09 - 6709 of 11056

Evening, as requested here's tonight's tutorial to Miss Melnibone.
Enjoying reading all your posts and views and what you're looking
at to take positions. Keep 'em flowing. :-)

You should let F loose on here Mels - there aren't enough girlies here :)

Got a feeling yesterday's top out is it for now. In short mode again since midday.
Tricky one, this, but I've added another line from last week's to yesterday's highs, adding another dimension to the falling down channel.
See how it looks in the morning :)

chocolat - 08 Nov 2006 22:11 - 6711 of 11056

Oh and heyy

祝賀 - apparently that says congratulations, Mr & Mrs Bak :))

mg - 09 Nov 2006 08:06 - 6712 of 11056

Had a sell order in @ 76 but bottled out and deleted it ..... may live to regret it - or be pleased to have pulled ...... we'll see.

And, by the way, chocsipops ..... is there something of a mumsy nature that you haven't been telling us about?

:)))

Seymour Clearly - 09 Nov 2006 08:11 - 6713 of 11056

I think it sounds like congratulations are due to Bakko and Mrs Bakko. Great news - well done you two!

foale - 09 Nov 2006 08:25 - 6714 of 11056

Still batting for the long side myself...

mg - 09 Nov 2006 08:53 - 6715 of 11056

bakko - 09 Nov 2006 09:38 - 6716 of 11056

Just a quick look in and I see scores of new posts and a few for me.

Many thanks everyone.

Baby Ben, a healthy 6lb 12 was born at 12.50 am 8th Nov is doing very well. Unfortunately, mum had a real tough time before and after delivery and now on the mend.

I guess it's kiss goodbye to decent sleep for a while so plenty of time to read the new posts. Thanks Mel for all the recent thought provoking stuff...keep them comimg.

Off to visit them now so will catch you all another time.

Hope all your trades go in your desired directions today.

Melnibone - 09 Nov 2006 12:32 - 6723 of 11056

there aren't enough girlies here :)

Huh! You've gotta be joking, Chocco. I soak up more oestrogen, through
the ether, reading this and the Traders' thread , than I would get drinking
a pint of water from the Thames area. :-))

Would we have it any other way though?
Can't live with 'em.
Can't live without 'em.

Congratulations, Bakko, and extremely well down to Mrs. Bakko.
(Don't forget to get Baby Ben Bakko's ISA started early. :-)

mg - 09 Nov 2006 12:45 - 6724 of 11056

Got a sell order to open @66 but got bored so also short from 46. Stops in place @ 96 for both of 'em - I think that would indicate I've blown it :(

Harlosh - 09 Nov 2006 13:13 - 6725 of 11056

Well, just got out of hospital after a bout of gastroenteritis on Monday night. Trouble is, as I no longer have a pituitary gland I don't produce my own cortisol so I ended up very ill indeed.

The problem was I had a short triggered which I forgot about so I was short over the MPC decision - fortunately all is well now and I am still short :-))
