THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

At last some answers from some regulars:

Cynic is a Tory voter.
Jimmy is a Tory voter.
Tanks is a Tory voter.
CC is a Tory voter.
George is a Tory voter (he just doesn't want other people to know he is mind you).
H/S is a Tory voter.
Dreamer is a Tory voter.

So why if you are all so unhappy with things as fundamental as E.U. membership do you keep on voting them in and then having done so proceed to whinge and moan for the next 5 years and do the whole thing over and over again?

Ed: Victim is a Tory voter.

An Irish Job Interview - Gone Bad

Connelly applied for a fork lift operator post at a famous Irish firm based in Dublin.

A Norwegian applied for the same job and since both applicants had similar qualifications, they were asked to take a test and led to a quiet room with no interruptions by the Manager. When the results were in, both men had scored 19 out of 20.

The manager went to Connelly and said, "Thank you for coming to the interview, but we've decided to give the Norwegian the job."

Connelly then said, "And why would you be doing that? We both got 19 questions correct. This being Ireland and me being Irish surely I should get the job."
Manager, "We have made our decision not on the correct answers, but on the question you got wrong."

Connelly, "And just how would one incorrect answer be better than another?"

Manager then stated, "Simple; on question number 7 the Norwegian wrote down,
'I don't know.'

On the same question, you put down,
"Neither do I. "

Very different from other Middle East countries.....

dreamcatcher - 18 Jan 2016 15:53 - 67204 of 81564

Not very keen on any of them stan. I feel its a duty to vote, not like one on here. In truth DC probably feels the country is pretty knackered and does the best he can. I see some big job losses announced today with perhaps more to come. Property is the downfall of this country.

dreamcatcher - 18 Jan 2016 15:57 - 67205 of 81564

Have a chat with your mate Fred Stan and let us know who you vote. :-))

Updated as I get replys.. and for those who are anxious to know who I vote for I will say when we have received the answers posted to the original Qs here otherwise we get into some crossed and confusing posts.

So you know they are going to be useless and corrupt but you still vote them in, thats just insane surely.

So why if you are all so unhappy with things as fundamental as E.U. membership do you keep on voting them in and then having done so proceed to whinge and moan for the next 5 years and do the whole thing over and over again?

I thought voting and then discussing whatever comes around was all part of a Democratic Society . Not a witch hunt .
