THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

ukip remains a busted flush

the referendum will be a plebiscite and therefore not really party driven

Updated as I get replys.. and for those who are anxious to know who I vote for I will say when we have received the answers posted to the original Qs here otherwise we get into some crossed and confusing posts.

At last some answers from some regulars:

Cynic is a Tory voter.
Jimmy is a Tory voter.
Tanks is a Tory voter.
CC is a Tory voter.
George is a Tory voter (he just doesn't want other people to know he is mind you).
H/S is a Tory voter.
Dreamer is a Tory voter. So you know they are going to be useless and corrupt but you still vote them in, thats just insane surely.

So why if you are all so unhappy with things as fundamental as E.U. membership do you keep on voting them in and then having done so proceed to whinge and moan for the next 5 years and do the whole thing over and over again?

Ed: Victim is a Tory voter.

plebiscite

a vote by which the people of a country or region express their opinion for or against an important proposal

Keep up DC

I thought voting and then discussing whatever comes around was all part of a Democratic Society . Not a witch hunt .

Stan - 18 Jan 2016 16:33 - 67219 of 81564

James I've already stated that, scroll back and all will be revealed.

2517GEORGE - 18 Jan 2016 16:36 - 67220 of 81564

Stan----As I recall we have only had one vote on the EU and that was when it was called the Common Market. It matters not who you have voted for since that one and only vote. However we will have a second vote this year so we will be able to change things then.

Now your turn to answer, who did you vote for.

dreamcatcher - 18 Jan 2016 16:45 - 67221 of 81564

Stan voted Labour.

VICTIM - 18 Jan 2016 16:48 - 67222 of 81564

Is he old enough .

Stan - 18 Jan 2016 16:52 - 67223 of 81564

The E.U. was only an example George, so why do you still vote Con?

How many more times D/C I refer you back to my original post.

Stan - 18 Jan 2016 16:53 - 67224 of 81564

Same for you Victim, why do you still keep voting for them.

cynic - 18 Jan 2016 16:54 - 67225 of 81564

i'll butt in .....
one can always be a total wanker like fred and abdicate responsibility but whinge incessantly thereafter, or you vote for the least worst

dreamcatcher - 18 Jan 2016 16:56 - 67226 of 81564

Lol.

2517GEORGE - 18 Jan 2016 16:59 - 67227 of 81564

Like others Stan, best of a bad bunch, not always voted that way, and yes very disillusioned with Cameron if not the Tories generally. I've got you down as a UKIP voter Stan, is that right.
I believe many others will also follow Farage in the run-up to the referendum, it's a pity he is almost a one man band, he speaks for a good many people imo.

Edit spelling corrected
