Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

cynic - 01 Aug 2014 17:05 - 6725 of 6906

i am afraid that as it stands, neither side is interested in peace, and that's the truth

goldfinger - 01 Aug 2014 17:06 - 6726 of 6906

Haystack - 01 Aug 2014 23:25 - 6728 of 6906

You obviously have limited knowledge ofwhat is happening in Gaza.

MaxK - 02 Aug 2014 00:11 - 6729 of 6906

Rockets, guns and ammo cost lots.

Where are the Gazans getting the money from?

Haystack - 02 Aug 2014 00:18 - 6730 of 6906

Qatar and the rockets are given to them.

MaxK - 02 Aug 2014 00:21 - 6731 of 6906

Why is Qatar not in the boresight?

edit: And who is is dishing out freeby rockets?

Haystack - 02 Aug 2014 00:44 - 6732 of 6906

Rockets from Iran in the past. Large stockpiles, probably thousands. Hamas fell out with Iran over Iran's support of Assad in Syria. They have only recently been speaking again.

TANKER - 02 Aug 2014 09:10 - 6733 of 6906

gaza should be flattened for good the people of gaza are not fit to be living on this planet they do not want peace . hamas are scum fact . and cowards hiding behind children . the leaders of hamas are milking the country for their own ends and do not give a shite about the palestians .

TANKER - 02 Aug 2014 09:37 - 6734 of 6906

hay the police should investigate your family

Haystack - 02 Aug 2014 10:05 - 6735 of 6906

You clearly just believe what you read in the papers without any real knowledge of what is actually going on. You write opinion as fact. Where do you get all your information from about the people involved.

cynic - 02 Aug 2014 10:23 - 6736 of 6906

it's not only qatar but also saudi where there is a significant and powerful fundamentalist clique
indeed, it is more than likely that that same clique is also supporting ISIS

Haystack - 02 Aug 2014 11:39 - 6737 of 6906

UK government considering refusing export licenses for arms exports to Israel.

It is unlikely that Saudi is funding Hamas as they have been opposed to each other for some time due to Hamas being involved with Iran. Hamas is unusual, in as much that they are not a radical Islamic group per se. They have only existed since 1987 and their only target is Israel. They are not anti Jewish, just anti Israel. They are happy to have Jews living in Israel so long as it is not called Israel and reverts to being all called Palestine. It may be an unrealistic goal, but they won't accept that. Israeli and US intelligence services are both worried that Hamas might be destroyed. The result would be a power vacuum in Gaza. The new resistance group would be much worse.

Hamas had been trying political routes prior to this escalation. The trigger was the kidnapping of three settlers and their killing. Israel clamped down on Hamas in the West Bank and arrested 200 Hamas members despite Hamas saying they weren't responsible. Hamas responded with rockets. Israel has belatedly admitted that Hamas were not involved.

TANKER - 02 Aug 2014 12:12 - 6738 of 6906

Haystack - 02 Aug 2014 13:42 - 6741 of 6906

Where is Telford?

Haystack - 03 Aug 2014 12:37 - 6742 of 6906

If you want to boycott Israeli goods by barcode they use 729 at the start. To avoid the boycott Israel has now started using barcode 871 as well.

Avoid Israeli fruit and veg in Sainsbury, Tesco and M&S.

ahoj - 05 Aug 2014 13:44 - 6744 of 6906

if any of you think how much his/her life worth would understand that killing is wrong, regardless.

We have a very short and limited life, so it is better to invest in peace, do good things and help each other to develop in the right direction.
