Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Digger,

We are taking a look,

Ian

Isaacs - 02 Nov 2007 15:44 - 6733 of 7315

Yes still there Ian. Got one at 284.25 on BB. as well. Looking via ET platform if that makes any difference.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 02 Nov 2007 15:47 - 6734 of 7315

Isaacs,

No that doesn't make a difference I will continue to look,

All, if you refresh those stocks mentioned you they should now be correct,

Ian

Ian - apologies having a divvy moment. It was BARC and not NRK. These failing banks are confusing. In any case don\'t worry. I\'ve now got three different level 2 providers each showing different data. Taking a sledge hammer to computer and heading off down the pub.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 02 Nov 2007 15:58 - 6736 of 7315

Issacs,

I did wonder - Barcs should be correct as well now,

Ian

Thanks Ian. Can you make the prices a bit higher next week please. I'd like to turn a profit.

Kyoto - 05 Nov 2007 04:23 - 6738 of 7315

Ian - A problem seems to have developed with posting. As you may have noticed, backslash characters are appearing in front of single and double quotes across the boards. You can see it in Isaacs post 6735 above (edit: and this one). It\'s making posting links very difficult because the parser is sticking backslashes in front of HTML quotes which stops them from resolving properly. It doesn\'t seem consistent, strangely, and it doesn\'t seem to be happening to everyone. I\'ve got the problem in Firefox and IE.

When I edit posts with links, I seem to get extra backslashes. I've given up on trying to post the newspapers to the traders thread today because I just can't get it to work.

Kyoto,

We will take a look at that.

I just added a stock to my watch list in stockwatch (added RBS) and when the page refreshed its full of stocks that are not the ones I had before !

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Nov 2007 13:38 - 6741 of 7315

Spaceman,

I will get the tech guys to take a look,

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Nov 2007 13:40 - 6742 of 7315

Spaceman,

Ian

indushah - 05 Nov 2007 14:39 - 6743 of 7315

Ian

Having problem with News. Either nothing or at best can't get any news on the NEXT page. Also it is a bit of hit & miss when flagging news off the Stockwatch page.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Nov 2007 14:42 - 6744 of 7315

indu,

I have just tried it and have had no problems at all with either accessing the news, accessing a story or when usinfg the next button. I do not really know what to suggets, but may be worth a restart on your machine,

Ian

Stan - 05 Nov 2007 14:56 - 6745 of 7315

Ian,

I get no info from Greystones lunch time market update also no info from the news on Stockwatch SEG and DISL.

Tried refreash, closed the browse, done a restart (Firefox2), then tried the same in Safari, still no joy.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Nov 2007 15:02 - 6746 of 7315

Stan,

Again I have just tried that, and have been able to access Greystones lunch report, and the news article for SEG from stockwatch.

I have tried it in IE and Firefox and both work fine.

I will speak to the tech guys to see if there is anything they could suggest.

Ian

Stan - 05 Nov 2007 15:11 - 6747 of 7315

Thanks Ian, I'll continue to play.

indushah - 05 Nov 2007 15:35 - 6748 of 7315

Ian

Still no joy. Look like I need two gos to flag any news off the Stockwatch page on anything. And the same with the main News. Any further thoughts Ian ?

Thanks
indu

IanT(MoneyAM) - 05 Nov 2007 15:37 - 6749 of 7315

indu,

As I say I cannot reproduce it here and all works fine in the 2 different browser I have used. We have checked the error logs and there is nothing in there.

With regard to getting the news via the news flag on Stockwatch - one possible cause to the problem you are having there could be that a pop up blocker has become enabled on your machine and is interfering in some way, but of course without looking at the machine I could not say for sure,
