sensible investors can see the value in LLOY whereas silly little scibblers can't see beyond the end of their "pencils"!!

The "SOUR GRAPES" bunch are back

Sour grapes definition:

Sour grapes is the false denial of desire for something sought but not acquired; to denigrate and feign disdain
for that which one could not attain. This metaphor originated from the fable The Fox and the Grapes by Aesop,
where the protagonist fox fails to reach some grapes hanging high up on a vine, retreats, and rationalizes
that the grapes are probably sour anyway.

tabasco - 22 Sep 2009 10:51 - 681 of 5370

Lloyds are prepared to raise a huge amount to withdraw from the APSthe FSA has trumped themwould you want to hold in a stock that is prepared to see its sp plummet through such capital raisingI am a gambler but I wouldnt back a horse to win with a bookmaker that owned it.seems a bit obviousbut then I am a lucky thicko

Sir Win was born in 1941 in Germany. He enjoys dual citizenship - Germany & UK. He joined Schroders in 1966. He became Chairman of Schroders in 1995 when it was valued at 30 million. In 2000, Citi bought Schroders Investment Division for 1.3 Billion. Remember that he was initially appointed Chairman of Citigroup Europe - so not responsible for the US sub-prime writedowns. He was appointed Group Chairman in Nov 2007 - only months before the crash. IMO Lloyds are lucky to have such a worthy individual at the helm - Any cash call will be modest, if at all. Proceeds from sale of Insight due soon, bank making 1bn profit per month, conversion of Preference shares to Ordinaries will bolster the balance sheet, and hopefully a Sovereign Wealth Fund will put up any balance to prop up Reserves. Should the EU force Lloyds to sell huge parts of the business, the Bank will appeal & drag out the argument for 5 years - by which time all will be forgotten and the SP back up to 5, Govt paid back & lovely Divi's too!! Be brave & continue to hold these beauties - YOU WILL BE REWARDED!!

If you are a holder in lloyyou have just been saved by the fsanow there is an enigmado I need to repeat?

smarty - 22 Sep 2009 12:26 - 684 of 5370

tabasco - yes, I am a serious investor in LBG. Having read your posts I take it you are not. If I am correct, please may I ask why you bother to post here?

Master RSI - 22 Sep 2009 12:41 - 685 of 5370

tabasco

re - i wish you well..

I am well alright, and certainly do not need you help, I speak my mind maybe once to often, but at the same time I am right once too often also, about the grumpy lot, most likley your included.

I am doubling my profits on LLOY, maybe I am a better investor than some of you, and just now I am on TOP of the world, I have sold SKR for a 47.60% profit, bought on 9th September, yes less than 10 days ago, so I close the bargain on a T +6, because I bought the stock on a T+15 days, meaning I didd not have to pay for the stock.

Just cheking PXS now, on a large profit, but till one sells, it can not be counted, just like LLOY at the moment.

The timing of the buying is what makes one succesfull on the share business, naturally the timing of selling is once again the point, that some of you missed to put a stop loss at the right time, and now have become as I said earlier "Sour Grapes"

I will celebrate the ocasion with some large Whisky later instead of "tabasco".

cheers

shorters of LBG will get their fingers burned - trust me - I am a Banker!

Master RSI - 22 Sep 2009 13:21 - 689 of 5370

Right to reply and taking the PISS

re - I am a Brandy Man

I call them W#nkers the ones using "tabasco" as a "nickname" more like "winos"

To your knowledge that you have none, just BIG Mouth but no trousers , brandy is just a cheap "COGNAC"

re - would tell you I laugh my way through life

So if you are a "Brandy Man" it must be when you are wearing a - Ladies Skirt -
so if you drink the right thing "COGNAC", most likely then " stilettos " will be added to your life style.
