THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

David Cameron prompts anger by telling MPs to ignore the views of eurosceptic grassroots members

The Prime Minister warned backbenchers not to take a view on the vote “because of what your constituency association might say”

I watched the documentary on Kids Company last night. That Camilla Batman should be reading tarot cards or a fortune tellers globe. She lives in a fantasy world where she is the great unaccountable provider; she is always right and appears to despise those that actually do the giving. Mainly tax payers.
Particularly fascinated by the overstayer Jamaican woman who has lived off the "kids company" since she has been here. Never worked a day in her life but given a fully furnished flat and all expenses paid. She appeared to treat the kids premises as a kindergarten where she could go and fill in her day colouring-in paintings.
In explaining the extravagant amounts of money spent on some, Batman claimed that her "kids" should expect the same quality of goods as kids from wealthy or middle class backgrounds. How about just working class?
The great wonder is how the charlatan was allowed to get away with it for so long.

With £billions of taxpayers money at stake isn't it about time charities were subjected to closer scrutiny. Hot on the heels of the above comes another scandal, this time from Britains biggest OAP charity, Age UK who accept a 'bung' in return for recommending a higher energy tariff to those most vulnerable amongst us. The very people this charity was set up to help. Well this is just another scandal within the cesspit of so called charities, which are run for the people who run them.

Luckily, there is no chance of socialism here.

Time for another update from the socialist paradise of Venezuela, where things aren’t looking too swell. The South American state, beloved of Owen, Diane, Seumas, Jezza et al, is suffering such hyper-inflation that it is having to fly in planeloads of increasingly worthless money to prop up its tanking economy. President Nicolas Maduro has been forced to import 5 billion bank notes in a fleet of 747s. The Bolivar is now at 1,000 to the dollar…

EU referendum: Voters are 'crying out' for a televised debate, say democracy campaigners
Katie Ghose, the chief executive of the Electoral Reform Society, said people now expected politicians to debate key issues ahead of nationally important elections.

Televised debates are a must given the possible consequences of the vote. We don't want what Nanacy Pelosi did in the US with Obamacare, telling democrats to vote for it and then find out what's in it.

jimmy b - 05 Feb 2016 10:11 - 67538 of 81564

Also Cameron has to let his cabinet speak ,if he silences anyone he will just look like a crook.
I personally don't think he has achieved anything .
Anyway wait for it because the OUT campaign has not started yet .

Stan - 05 Feb 2016 10:34 - 67539 of 81564

"Cameron "Will" just look like at Crook?".. there's no looking about it.

jimmy b - 05 Feb 2016 10:44 - 67540 of 81564

Stan i don't really care about any of them , i just want out of Europe .

Stan - 05 Feb 2016 10:47 - 67541 of 81564

Oh come on JB, if your not a Right Wing Tory I'm a Dutchmen -):

jimmy b - 05 Feb 2016 10:54 - 67542 of 81564

You know what ,i'll tell you what i am ,i prefer the Tories to Labour (always have done) i like people that are brave which is why i admired Thatcher.
I don't like the way Cameron is going to try and keep us in the EU .

And on top of that i hate , yes a strong word ,hate what Corbyn stands for , he would be the most dangerous person to ever have any power in this country .

On top of that i don't really like the UK myself any more , but unlike Corbyn i don't want to see it destroyed .
If we vote IN i am seriously thinking of moving abroad again .
