Frampton - 25 Nov 2005 08:50 - 680 of 1184

Ah well, it's only money!

jimmy b - 25 Nov 2005 09:05 - 681 of 1184

I didn't know you were in that too Frampton , if you are,, let's hope for a good outcome from BFC .

Frampton - 25 Nov 2005 09:45 - 682 of 1184

I had a small gamble on it - at least I was aware that was a gamble. I thought I had invested in BFC, how wrong can you be?

jimmy b - 25 Nov 2005 09:58 - 683 of 1184

Funny i was looking at a shares mag from summer,, blue sky shares ,,BFC was 180 with a broker note as dirt cheap !! ,,i'm usually impatient ,but held on with these .

Frampton - 25 Nov 2005 10:14 - 684 of 1184

The good thing about holding BFC is it means I'm hardly noticing the loss on LGB - I stand to loose 8x more on this share.

Just found this as well..

as The Times December 02, 2005

Rumour of the day

Followers of Biofuels, the biodiesel producer suspended last month at 145p pending refinancing talks, hear trading in the shares is set to resume shortly as discussions with Barclays, which is tipped to provide a 70 million facility, near conclusion. The fact that Biofuels has avoided issuing fresh equity could trigger a short squeeze among bears, who will be forced to buy stock to cover their positions.

Or
Today's Independent

Finally, Biofuels was said to be about to return from suspensions after securing new funding. The biodiesel group is believe to have won the backing of Royal Bank of Scotland and it may see its shares re-listed as soon as today, according to market whispers.

Last month, Biofuels was suspended at 145.5p as the company went away to try and win fresh cash. At the time it warned that the future viability of the company was dependent on it being successful.

Thanks for the info Jimmy, I hope if it is going to relist shortly this means the rumour that it won't be working 'till spring is rubbish, otherwise it's gonna tank!

jimmy b - 02 Dec 2005 09:04 - 688 of 1184

Better than bankrupt Frampton ..

Frampton - 02 Dec 2005 09:13 - 689 of 1184

Absolutely, it will be a huge relief to see it relisted, now I'm just worried at what price. A bear squeeze would be very good news, we can always dream....

jimmy b - 02 Dec 2005 09:26 - 690 of 1184

Royal bank of Scotland ,interesting to see what will happen ,,that's another twist i was'nt expecting .

maddoctor - 02 Dec 2005 09:34 - 691 of 1184

started trading

jimmy b - 02 Dec 2005 09:58 - 692 of 1184

What's your take on the price ,,are you holding or getting out ??

maddoctor - 02 Dec 2005 09:58 - 693 of 1184

watching , no news yet

Bones - 02 Dec 2005 10:11 - 694 of 1184

The scale of cost overruns and especially the "hedge" (I think "gamble" is a better word) that went wrong is incredible. The company goes forward with a race against time to swing into full production by 28 Feb 2006 (little more than 2 working months allowing for Christmas) and a huge debt of 100M?? round its neck for years to come.

For those relieved to have seen the shares re-listed and holding a very overweight position, I'm pretty amazed you haven't let go of these like a very hot potato!

Good luck but I can't see these doing anything but drop in price (IMHO only).

Edit. 116p when I started this piece. 105p when I finished it.

partridge - 02 Dec 2005 10:44 - 695 of 1184

This is a good example of what can happen when any company gets too dependent on its lender. Glad I hold BARC rather than BFC.

jimmy b - 02 Dec 2005 10:47 - 696 of 1184

I got out just after my last post , just happy they wer'nt bust ,i'm putting it down to a bad day at the office , i'd rather invest the money elsewhere .
Frampton let me know what you do >>

M4rt - 02 Dec 2005 10:49 - 697 of 1184

Yep me too, got out at 107, really cant see this going anywhere but down in the short term
