Shares in Meridian Petroleum jumped after the oil and gas company signed a lease on the Orion field located in Oakland County Michigan.

The group said based on data from earlier wells, the lease contains a proven and probable shut in reserve of 3 BCF of gas in place with approximately 2.7 BCF recoverable.

"Flow rates on the previous wells averaged between 2 to 4 mmcf per day plus condensate and Meridian anticipates achieving similar flow rates from its proposed new well location," added the group.

the way the buys are going through it seems if news is not far off.

There are no issues with Milford. Historically, the isuue has been merely getting equipment and personnel together. The short term near production assets are moving along well and overall we are executing upon our business plan. It would seem they are once again speculating without any foundation for that speculation.
