Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Any views +/- are most welcome, the Log Lady doesn't bite...............much!

banjomick - 05 Sep 2007 23:26 - 681 of 1609

The Lady with the Log has a few things to say:

"My log hears things I cannot hear. But my log tells me about the sounds, about the new words.
Even though it has stopped growing larger, my log is aware."

banjomick - 09 Sep 2007 20:26 - 684 of 1609

Well, looks like H & Co are going to be busy with GON as they have (as of today) only just released their July research note where the SP was at 16p,25% up then-lol

http://www.hardmanandco.com/Research/monthly/July07_Monthly.pdf

I think the table on page 14 will be adjusted in a positive fashion every month :-)

banjomick - 12 Sep 2007 22:40 - 687 of 1609

Twas another very good day as we await further updates on Apollo's Pad project which is planned for launch next month!
Skunk Fu is being aired in the USA on the 22nd of this month so it will be interesting to read the feedback from there.
The Brand Licensing event starts on the 2nd of October so news will no doubt be released a week or two after on any if not many new deals struck!

Looks very good to me!

banjomick - 13 Sep 2007 08:59 - 688 of 1609

Doing rather well,so far! :-)

banjomick - 13 Sep 2007 18:49 - 689 of 1609

Didn't expect to hold on to the big rise this morning and more than happy at where the SP finished today.

banjomick - 13 Sep 2007 23:56 - 690 of 1609

Yes,it was 'tudwick' who commented on why I appear to be talking to myself and yes it does appear strange that a company who has been treading water for a few years has gone from 6p to 30p within a year and there is little interest on this site! Saying that it's maybe better that way as I can just post factual information without the 'knackers' getting involved-lol

The point being that GON have kept their share holders informed with regular announcements over the last year or so.GON's involvement with Skunk Fu will pay big dividends in their future both in revenue and publicity-imo.

Both Lavish and GON have 'stalls' at the Brand Licensing Show and to me that speaks volumes for future positive announcements on deals struck with major retail outlets.
All the other animation/series that have/are shown on BBC,CBBC,ABC and Kids WB have their own merchandising products so why not Skunk Fu?There is no ramp or hype in this suggestion it's just common practice!
Now this is the point,as GON have never taken on anything this big before so it will be intersting to see how they perform at the Brand Licensing Show!
I would expect that the major deals have all but been struck regarding the UK sector and Skunk Fu regarding merchandising deals and would invisage further global deals all to be announced no later than two weeks after the BLS.

I would also expect further news on the Apollo's Pad project,Sokator 442 and others from the BLS too!

It's not like the olde days where GON went to MIPCOM with high hopes and came away with nothing,GON are becomimg a major player in this sector and people are taking notice!Still risky but give GON another month or two and I think you will be quite surprised............if all goes to plan of course!

StarFrog - 14 Sep 2007 10:53 - 691 of 1609

Don't feel too lonely banjo, I'm still holding (with a nice profit) and regularly read your thread. I have always intended to be in for a long time - have a lot of faith in this company and the direction it is going.

I think that you cover all the news concerning GON so well that sometimes there is no need for further comment by others.

And as you say, you seem to be keeping the mockers/bashers away.

Keep up the good work.

banjomick - 14 Sep 2007 12:25 - 692 of 1609

Afternoon StarFrog and cheers,
Just in one of me rambling modes last night :-)
Interesting times ahead and looking forward to feedback from the USA regarding Skunk Fu which is airing on the 22nd of this month.

StarFrog - 14 Sep 2007 14:49 - 693 of 1609

Looking forward to a further climb in the sp around then, then. ;-)

Skunk Fu heading East (Malaysia) :-)

Nicked from t'other side:

"Ntv7

The feel-good channel will continue having an amazing line-up of shows, including new seasons of Greys Anatomy, the CSI franchise, 24, Bones, Nite of Soulful Stars and Seekers.

Fans of Greys Anatomy can check out its spin-off, Private Practice. Other new offerings include Big Shots (Dylan McDermott and Michael Vartan), Cashmere Mafia (Lucy Liu), Lipstick Jungle (Brooke Shields and Kim Raver), Samantha Who? (Christina Applegate) and Carpoolers (Jerry OConnell). There is also the localised English version of Deal or No Deal hosted by radio announcer Non, with a little help from 26 girls.

Chinese movie fans can look forward to blockbusters such as SPL, Seven Swords and Breaking News. Saturday mornings are going to get better with new cartoons Damo Kun, Skunk Fu, and Galactic Football.

Ampang Medikal is a series ala Greys Anatomy, with the human drama set at a fictional hospital in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Also in the pipeline are Saadiq & Co and Hartamas."

Well,it's all quiet regarding news on the Internet front tonight, from what I can see!

I think the main news items that we can expect over the next three weeks are:

1. Official launch date of the Apollo's Pad project (penned in for October).

2. News/feedback from Kids WB (both official and via Internet) which is being aired this Saturday for the first time in the USA.

3. Brand Licensing, which starts on the 2nd of October.I'm expecting some major retail signings to be announced officially from this event regarding Skunk Fu.

There are plenty of other positive announcements that could be made but feel the above three are the most likely and most important for further SP movement.

I think a lot of people are willing to give GON a chance now, especially after the recent flood of official announcements that are showing GON's future direction so clearly.Obviously understand sells at these levels as it was only a year ago we were at 6p!

My view is that there is plenty more to come but as always do your own research ect ect ect-lol

banjomick - 17 Sep 2007 23:58 - 697 of 1609

I also think that the Brands Licensing Show is quite possibly the most important event in GON's history and a lot will depend on announcements following from!

This is the first time that GON have had something global ie Skunk Fu,that they can get their teeth into so to speak and so this event will be a showcase for future investment in the company depending on what they can deliver from said event-imo.

Skunk Fu is in a prime spot commercially for anyone holding the world licensing/merchandising rights as GON do,forgot.........except Germany-lol.I believe that major news is required from this event to help bring on GON's own IP's to the fore!

Skunk Fu is sitting on a plate to be a money making machine so there is no pressure at all on GON's 'new' management to perform!-lol

"Galleon Ent. has set Brand Licensing 2007 to make its hit kids animated TV property SKUNK FU! and its young adult multi-platform property APOLLO'S PAD available to licensees."

"The SKUNK FU! franchise has proven to be a hit among kids and is rapidly expanding while Apollo's Pad is about to become the next generation of short-form entertainment for young adults," said Stephen Green, CEO of Galleon Holdings plc. "We look forward to more exciting licensing partnerships at this year's Brand Licensing."

"SKUNK FU! launched on BBC1 in July 2007 with strong ratings. The animated series airing on weekdays at 3:50 pm and on weekends on CBBC, has already achieved a 20% market share and is the highest rated kids show in its timeslot. In addition, the CW has acquired the show for the U.S. to air in its Saturday morning Kids WB! Animation block. The show will air from Sept. 22, at 9:00 am every week."

"The licensed merchandise started this year with a U.K. DVD licensing deal with home entertainment giant Warner Music Group.

The series has already been sold in 35 territories including key territories such as France 5 and Canal J (France), Super RTL (Germany), RAISAT (Italy), ABC (Australia), TG4 (Ireland), SVT (Sweden) and RTBF (Belgium), Cartoon Network (Australia/Asia), with deals to be shortly announced in Norway and Free Television in France among others."
