THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

jimmy my thoughts are for the benefits of my grand children

cynic - 22 Feb 2016 16:43 - 68099 of 81564

in sequence .....
probably not, theoretically yes and no

VICTIM - 22 Feb 2016 16:43 - 68100 of 81564

If the only reason people want to come here is benefits , which seems the case , then get out and take our own measures as every country should have the right to do , Vote out .

Stan - 22 Feb 2016 16:43 - 68101 of 81564

"cynic I am not a racist I speak as I see thinks black and white no in-betweens".. and there lay the problem Tanks.

My Mum had 2 hip operations in France, (she was resident there but did not have French nationality ), but the French system paid for it all and the operations were perfect !....no after problems at all.....so the NHS health system will work overseas in some countries...the thing is that all European health ministers should make sure that the system works in the whole of the EU !.....but will they ?....

Fred1new - 22 Feb 2016 16:53 - 68103 of 81564

How long after Chamberlain returned from Munich, clutching his little bit of paper, was it before he was dumped by his ever loyal party of con artists?

There are similarities when not even the dishwasher knows how to vote!

Reminds me of German political arrogance in the 1930s.

Hate everybody and little england is superior to everybody else.

Fred1new - 22 Feb 2016 16:57 - 68104 of 81564

Victim,

A minority of "immigrants" depend on "handouts" from the state. The majority contribute to the wealth of the UK.

But continue smear as much as you seem to enjoy.

Hang them all.

VICTIM - 22 Feb 2016 17:03 - 68105 of 81564

I doubt it very much , maybe Dave should tell us what it costs .

cynic - 22 Feb 2016 17:34 - 68106 of 81564

fred - what you say is at least partially true
however, it is undisputed (except perhaps by you) that the uk benefit system is very generous, so there is no doubt that it is at least one (major?) reason why uk is the destination of choice for migrants of all sorts
i confess i'm not convinced that withdrawing benefits for 4 years or whatever would make a significant difference, though it might if it included refusing access to NHS and housing

Fred1new - 22 Feb 2016 17:52 - 68107 of 81564

£30million a year?????

aldwickk - 22 Feb 2016 18:17 - 68108 of 81564

Will Fred be voting in the EU referendum . And why has TANKERS spelling improved now that he is using lower case ?

Haystack - 22 Feb 2016 21:11 - 68109 of 81564

VICTIM - 23 Feb 2016 07:54 - 68110 of 81564

I did notice that myself aldwikk , it;s a strange transition , maybe with capitals there's a red mist that takes over .

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 08:13 - 68111 of 81564

68108 - i read that too .... confess i was amazed it was so little, so i wonder which bits are omitted? ....... for sure it's not the true picture - eg free nhs treatment? obligation of councils to find/supply housing in certain circumstances?

iturama - 23 Feb 2016 08:21 - 68112 of 81564

Is there a problem with Tankers spelling? I thought it was me.
Strange bedfellows when you have Cameron being supported by the SNP, Clegg (he that has dreams of a cushy Commission job one day), the scarecrow who says he is leader of the trade union party, Obummer and the mad green goblins.
His attack on Boris was a mistake given that Boris appeared inclined to only give moral support to the Out campaign. He must be mad as a hornet now.

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 08:33 - 68113 of 81564

when is any one going to give out the figures that migrants either benefit the uk
are cost the uk on services housing schools in work benefits
if the avge is between 6k and 10k which the pm gave out in the commons is true
then migrants are costing the uk billions and their employers are the only winners

surely some mps must have the figures yet no one as put them out

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 08:36 - 68114 of 81564

my mp as just e mailed me to say a letter is on its way about the health cover in the eu so will see what she says

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 08:39 - 68116 of 81564

i smiled wrily to hear that the pakistani community in bradford or thereabouts are hopping mad about the number of east european migrants coming into the area

one of the major problems with eu migrants from the bankrupt countries is that they will work for peanuts - more than they'ld earn at home of course - in jobs that young brits either don't want or won't take
i'll use my fave hobby horse of courier drivers as an example

in addition of course there is the strain that these (so many) migrants put on our basic infrastructure of housing, schools, health etc

aldwickk - 23 Feb 2016 08:44 - 68117 of 81564

Oh dear, Fred is having trouble posting one of his silly cartoons
