THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I believe the support of UKIP as they appeal to the lowest common denominator. The sort of percentage that they attract is similar to the percentage that is wrong about almost everything.

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 11:10 - 68169 of 81564

68166 - where on earth did you get that idea?

68161 - no-one denies it suits the farmers, but why does not hmrc and their thugs ever investigate? ...... i guess there's easier pickings, like fining people for being a week late in sending in a tax return

VICTIM - 23 Feb 2016 11:13 - 68170 of 81564

Haystack must be the biggest one track minded snob that ever existed . Jeez give us a break . I think cynic much more sensible .

jimmy b - 23 Feb 2016 11:14 - 68171 of 81564

Hays you are absolutely wrong on that one

UKIP as they appeal to the lowest common denominator

I can tell you that Farage has a lot of support by people from all walks of life ,the BNP they are NOT .

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:27 - 68172 of 81564

cynic I have been brought up with farmers and went to school with them
and can tell you it fact
phone Stafford council and ask them why they pay no c.t yet get all the services
the rich farmers run the show and the council

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:28 - 68173 of 81564

hay I expect I am a lot richer than you will ever be and I will vote and do like farage
and will put 20k in the pot

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:32 - 68174 of 81564

have now read all that Cameron said yesterday he twisted is words
we can not

deport criminals
deport illegals
stop benefits
its all smoke and mirrors
why will no mp give us the true facts on the benefits paid in housing in work benefits cost to services and such
if these figures were given out it would an easy decision for the voters

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:35 - 68175 of 81564

when turkey get the nod from mergel to join the uk will be over 5m on the way

rest assured on that the uk will be finished

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 11:37 - 68176 of 81564

68174 - i told you why they do not pay council tax, and that is perfectly legit .... it's the tax and NIC bits that are far more questionable

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:37 - 68177 of 81564

its funny all these companies avoid uk tax telling us to vote in

the crooks want it always

so until we get figs I will vote out

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:40 - 68178 of 81564

cynic no they use the services and if I put a caravan in my field and allow some one to live in it they have to pay council tax fact I did it but found it was more hassle than it was worth and he was a lad I new

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:44 - 68179 of 81564

all have a nice day off to see friends then off to the coast till monday

TANKER - 23 Feb 2016 11:46 - 68180 of 81564

just before I go

my div off CNA JUST OVER 20K FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 11:56 - 68181 of 81564

councils are never afraid to charge council tax, so i'm sure it has to do with how long "temporary dwellings" are deemed such ....... farms have always had certain specific rules and regs that apply only to them

VICTIM - 23 Feb 2016 12:00 - 68182 of 81564

Well they can only be there when the crops need picking , and then they move on I would think .

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2016 12:03 - 68183 of 81564

And what does my local MP have to say about 'IN or OUT'?

“I have spoken to thousands of people on the doorstep, at my advice surgeries and at public meetings to hear their views, and spoken in Parliament about the need for the EU to become more competitive, flexible and democratically accountable.

The simple truth is that the status quo is no longer an option. The EU’s share of global economic activity is falling (from 30% in 1980 to 17% in 2015), the Euro currency members must move ever closer to avoid economic disaster (which will leave Britain sidelined), and the migration crisis resulting from their open door policy is changing Europe forever.

This is not a decision I have taken lightly, nor is it a decision I have made quickly. I profoundly believe that our future is brighter out of the European Union and that we will be better in every way by setting our sights once more on the global stage."

Andrea Leadsom
MP for South Northamptonshire

VICTIM - 23 Feb 2016 12:10 - 68184 of 81564

Wow, what a good lady you have there Exec .

Haystack - 23 Feb 2016 12:10 - 68185 of 81564

The numbers involved are tiny in the scheme of things. A few immigrants picking fruit almost for free doesn't affect our economy. It is just an excuse to be xenophobic. The reality is that 85% of immigrants do not claim benefits. Most get sensible jobs. It is the small numbers on the fringe that get the publicity. It is the exaggeration of them as a problem that enables UKIP to act as rabble rousers.

cynic - 23 Feb 2016 12:16 - 68186 of 81564

that as may be, but certainly the gang culture (for workers!) offends - but then so do gypsy encampments even more!

jimmy b - 23 Feb 2016 12:19 - 68187 of 81564

How many more East Europeans would you like to take in then Hays ? can the UK take a population of 80 million or 90 million ?

Or am i being a rabble rouser ?
