Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

"Stan - Re the dog. What were the Police supposed to do in those circumstances? If you were present ...... Stand there with your finger up your arse and watch as a driver swerved to avoid it causing a multiple pile up and loss of human life. Easy to criticise when not present eh!"
I don't really have to spell it out do I CC.. all right then as you ask.
What happens when there is a crash that takes up a lane or lanes? The police normally slow the traffic down then stop it , then position their cars (one on each carriage way) with all blue lights flashing across the lanes.. and then catch the mutt assuming that they are fit enough to actually run these days and not the same lazy b..stards who sit in transits drinking tea up and down the country on match days outside 92 grounds every Saturday 9 months of the year.
I and millions of others are fed up to the back teeth having to listen to some of these officers moaning about some excuse or other why they can't do this or that.. but not being able to catch a dog just about takes the (dog) biscuit.. if you'll pardon the link -):

Seriously Stan, I like a challenge but running around on the A55 trying to catch a dog that doesn't want to be caught isn't one of them. Read the article again when sober :0)
Dog running loose on motorway deliberately run over and killed by police
The dog had been running loose on the A55 at varying locations between the Llanfairfechan roundabout and the Conwy tunnel in Wales
By Agency1:16AM GMT 24 Feb 2016
A dog that was running loose on a motorway was deliberately run down and killed by traffic police, North Wales Police have confirmed.
In a statement issued on their website the force said that the dog had been running loose on the A55 at varying locations between the Llanfairfechan roundabout and the Conwy tunnel.
Despite attempts by the Roads Policing Unit to catch the dog, it continued to run in and out of swerving traffic that was travelling in excess of 70mph on an unlit carriageway.
The incident – which had "potential for a serious collision" happened during the early hours of Monday.
An officer who had tried to take hold of the dog was bitten.
Chief Inspector Darren Wareing said that several calls were received by the North Wales Police control room shortly after 3am and the decision to take action was not taken "lightly".
He said: "The only safe option was to run the dog over at sufficient speed to ensure that it was destroyed and would not suffer. Other methods of destruction were considered, but were ruled out on the grounds of public safety."
Mr Wareing said that several attempts were made to catch the dog.
• Man run over by truck 'driven' by his dog
"One car and an HGV had to swerve to avoid the dog whilst the officers remained on foot in the carriageway. The potential for a serious collision was present throughout, and in the circumstances there was no alternative way that officers could contain the dog and minimise risks to motorists."
He added: "Fast roads such as the A55 present inherent risks, and to have vehicles including an HGV having to swerve in the dark was deemed unacceptable as the officers witnessed a number of near misses, and were highly concerned about the potential aftermath of a high-speed collision.
"Both officers have their own dogs and did not take this decision lightly. Due to the seriousness of the incident it needed bringing to a conclusion quickly for the safety of all concerned."

Hays likes to find these polls. 72% of UKIP supporters who read the Times will vote to come out of the EU
And how many SUN readers would vote to stay in. Hays got it partly right 72% of the UK will vote out
