Well I've gone long this morning - even though I'm away for the day.

The factors influencing me are:
I always do better when I don't look at the screen but set a wide stop.
Cable's looking strong.
It's my birthday.

I hope the MPC committee took this all into account when they decided to release the minutes today:-)

Hurrah, its here! The first big snowfall of the season arrived last night, and the resort is white and gorgeous again. More snow is forecast this week,

so things should keep on getting better and better.

As the lifts are not yet open I cant give you an exact figure for how much has fallen at higher altitudes, but here in Mibel we have a good 15 20 cm of powder (see our useful Labrador snow gauge for an idea of depth).

Were also pretty excited about our new Video Snow Report service which will

be starting in Mibel very shortly. If you enjoy this snow report, and like

Just been reading Tom H.'s website. Apparently he's been getting
hate mail from Traders, (I use that term loosely), who, unable
to think for themselves, have been blindly following his views, (views are
all they are), and losing loads of money with duff entry points and no
strategy for an exit using proper money management to protect their
trading capital.

If that's all they're going to do, then why don't they just give their
money to someone and ask them to trade it? It's not as if there's a
shortage of folk, wanting to milk the herd, offering such services, is there?

I don't blame Tom in the slightest, all he does is offer views to bring
his employer's and his own services further into the spotlight, (as well
as offering some useful trading strategy advice). I do blame folk who
can't take responsibility for their own actions, nobody put a gun at their
heads and told them to pull the trigger.

Anyway, I've been seeing snippets on TV on someone advising the IMF
to sell Gold reserves to finance their commitments.
Anyone know the jackanory on this? If true, it would put a big chunk of
supply on the market which would tend to give a negative bias to Gold.

I must stress that I've just seen a few snippets, so don't take this as gospel
and trade on it.

Looking for that 91 and 29 on Euro again.

Nov. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The International Monetary Fund, the world's third-largest
owner of gold, should sell some of its hoard to cover projected operating losses,
say a growing number of the fund's executive directors.


The Washington-based lender predicts it will lose $87.5 million next year and $280
million in 2009. Some directors say the fund should sell a portion of its 103 million
ounces of gold, valued at $64.7 billion, and invest the proceeds in interest-bearing
assets.

Charts on Gold/ Bonds/ Oil.

To move to a different currency cross, a little closer to home, anyone care
to post a chart and a view on Euro/Sterling, seeing as we now have 2 Doves
on the MPC (Sterling), and Trichet is more 'Vigilant' than ever (Euro) ?
