Strange you should mention that, we don't get many visits fron outworlders, yet you seem to know the place, or have you met some of my exiled compatriots?
Is the bubbly ready yet, I feel the need to celebrate finding this glorious haven, join me?
By the way, is it true you have an excellent stash of cubans, cigars of course, stories abound but being my first visit I don't know my way around, have you a smoking area?

storm caller, I know many places and am a very good judge of character when someone first enters the Cafe, alien or otherwise all species and cultures are welcome here from near or far. (we do not except Visa)
The stash of cuban is only a whisper but if you sit by the window and tap it 3 times the waiter will bring you a good selection of cigars; cuban included - sshhhh!

Stormie - MM is the source of copious supplies normally - I stepped in tonight, whilst MM bunked off, (MM - if you're lurking - hope you order double case rations this time) and I can offer you some, albeit not up to the normal Napa standards.. it slips down nicely with a spot of Cointreau

On a sobering note - I've just read vasey's posting of John Betjeman's poem, and I haven't forgotten that Croc asked us to save him a stool closest to the bar (just after his birthday). So here it is...although, remembering his girth, it isn't as close as he would have liked it to be!
