Coffee Heaven - A heavenly share for penny punters ? (COH)

Not just another coffee shop chain - this one is a brand leader and is only trading in Eastern/Central Europe (i.e. the countries recently admitted to the EU destined for substantial business growth). Stores: 43 (up from 32) stores currently trading (Poland: 30 (up from 23), Czech Republic: 6 (Up from 2), Latvia: 7 with a further 5 units under construction including Bulgaria and sites secured in Romania (subject contract). Bulgaria & Romania are seeking to join the EU from January 2007. Sites located in key high street, shopping malls or Airport locations. Company growth target: increase number of units by at least 20 units to some 63 units by 31 March 2007. Aim being to achieve this level of growth within present Cash resources.Cash balances at 31 March 2006 were approximately £2.9M (2005: £0.7M). Debt was nil (2005: £ 2.5M): Nil Debt! Positive EBITDA: For the year ending 31 March 2006, Group EBITDA expected to be firmly positive after charging UK and new market development costs but before exceptional costs relating to the cancellation of bonds (previous Debt). Forecasts: Based on present trading conditions and current exchange rates we anticipate indicative sales of £9.3M for the year to 31 March 2007. Have you seen the RNS... bet those who sold out this morning might be regretting it. There was no substance behind the drop over the last few days maybe some stop losses were triggered but to have $20 million in the bank ready for an aggressive expansion I know which company I would rather be investing in COH rather than the franchise route that CFE are doing... in a relatively free market... Whose the muppet now... and exposed as a liar on numerous counts... Just admit it WAXMAN or whatever other alias you are using...

Please Sir is there no end to your infantile misinterpertation ot the facts.

The RNS is old news today.

The underwrting at 41p, being as it has long discounted in the falling share price.

Today's sellers, and there are 1,100,000 of them, will be proven to be the more prudent of COH gamblers.

COH has missed the boat they should not be messing around with all these fund raising exerciase, look atb thre expenses involed to the shareholders.

Worthington, as anY prudent CEO would have done, should have planned his market penitration, called for the cash needed to move forward, years ago, and gone for it.

Look at the costs of these continuing cash calls to the shareholder!

Now there is too much competition, chasing too few prime sites.

Therefore, what he could have bought, say five years ago, will now cost him three times as much, or rather cost his shareholders.

But what does he care?

His pockets are already filled.

There was a poster sometime back who ran a google check him.He found a link to David Degrothier (can't remember the spelling),this linked to DD's role in property sales in Sain.He fell out with his boss and started to rant and upset a number of people who exposed DD on a web site.One of the exposures was a plan to offer marriage to a wealthy old American lady.When she said no he tried to get her to pay him money by threatening to sue her.Her lawyers stepped in at the last minute and saved the day.There was a link to a S.Wales paper that ran the storey. It's all there if anyone wants to look/check.

But what has all this to do with COH?

If you have knowledge of any illegalities you should be reporting them to the police do you not think so?

I am sure the police would welcome news of any frauds and the person or persons concerned should go to jail, dont you agree?

If you are witholding knowledge of a crime willingly, that is a crimiinal offence in itself.

Please read your previous posts in regard to RW if that is not ranting or personal abuse I don't know what is, I welcome debate but you seem to have a personal vendetta against RW... You seem to think that your point of view is the one and only point of view we should listen to. Please read the RNS again the company has 10 million pound to invest, does CFE has such funds. No it is going down the franchise route... Bring something of relelvance to this debate it is the COH thread so most people here are holders or potential holders and will side on the positives of this company...

I come to this board for sensible conversation and information, not to see this kind of squabbling. I'm sure I could get enough of that on ADVFN if I wanted to.

This is an open board and people are entitled to express their opinions, whether positive or negative, about a stock. I assume that most of us here are mature investors and can make up our own minds on a stock. Please let's stop the trolling, insinuation, name-calling and character assassination that are just a waste of everyone's time.

What I have posted here is fact and nothing but.

I said the price would fall fast and it has.

All I have taken for my pains is abuse and it should stop.

I suggest AdieH gives some solid reason as to why people should risk their savings and buy the share.

Just as I have given solid reasons why you should sell it

David, I am perfectly happy when you post facts and opinions, and I fully acknowledge that you have called this one pretty accurately, but please stop baiting the other members of this group. It only fans the flames.

I am intrigued by today's slight recovery, especially after the precipitous drop this morning. I see that COH has now closed back at the 200-day MA. It will be interesting if support continues at that level tomorrow. (As you may be able to tell, I am more of a TA guy than a fundamentals guy)

I closed out about 40% of my position this morning - I still have faith in the longer-term outlook for COH but it was weighing too heavily on my portfolio. As I mentioned before, I top-sliced out my original investment a while ago but it is still nervewracking to give back so much of my profits.

Please be warned.

No matter what AdieH andn other holders and rampers may tell you. Despite this well favctored RNS. there were 1,300,000.00 sells today. against 500.000 buys.

The price was marked up on the hype of the RNS but will continue its downward trend when all dies down.

Even if COH opens 30 new outlets, they still have to make a profit and at making profits COH still has a long way to go.

AdieH makes a big deal out of the money COH has available, however I dont as they have not made it from profits!

After 7 years in the game: They have taken it off shareholders through cash calls. and my friends look how fat the city has got on placing your money into dilutionary new shares.

No I dont like Mr Worthington, or his antics and I certainly dont like Diggle Investments.

DC I am no fool, as I said right at the start it would be far better to say nowt and let the share price do the talking.

I also rounded off in response to AdieH by stating the old maxim of; when there is nothing more to be said some fool always says it.

I thank you for your kind acknowledgement, however COH was well researched and is very much HIGH RISK.

I believe it will fall further and I have little faith in the longer term propect as I believe the markets will be saturated with highly competitive coffee shops, both indigenous and international.

COH has in fact missed the boat.

Well, I've got a chunk of cash sitting in my broker account as of this morning that needs re-investment somewhere. I'll head over to the CFE thread and DMOR. I'm a little concerned that last year the Coffee Republic here in Chiswick was converted to a Starbucks (luckily we still have a Caffe Nero) but if they can break into some of the Eastern European markets then there seems to be room for expansion. More of that on another thread...

Well I kept mine as there was no reason for the dramatic drop of the last few days, for anyone who got in at 50p then it would have been a concern but most of the posters on here at least have been holding for some time thus could afford to take a slight hit on paper profits. I myself am waiting to use the 2 year tax break on AIM... I have no issues with negative comments if they can be backed up, I do not appreciate people making such comments about board members...

Agree dclinton that tomorrow will be interesting, the board have made everyone aware what the situation is so hopefully in the near future we will get facts about the future roll out... I stand by my estimate that we will see 1.00 in 12-18 months (if everything comes off)... Good Luck to holders.
