Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Cheers thanks for the response.
However when a guy wants a good rant please don't knock the wind out of his sails.
If I want a rant I don't want logic to deflect me.
I come from the one age group.
My formative years where from an era when one grew up with one car one TV one wife one job one wireless one holiday a year one big meal a week on a Sunday one suit for best one bank account one house one phone one way of having sex one gender you would have sex with one father one sexually transmitted disease -----rant rant rant
So a return to traditional values of one login would make an old man very nostalgic - nay happy

Andy,

The buttons *are* being cached. I have checked hundreds of thousands of log entries of the gif images, and after the initial hit, none are being loaded off the server (a 304 is returned)

When accessing 'Trades' @ earliest many seem to start at 11.23 or various times and exclude considerable number of earlier trades.

Then please tell me why when I open a page I can sit here watching each button filling its placeholder?

On another site the header navigation just comes up complete as the page opens and by the time I have scrolled down the page all the other buttons appear to be there where as here I sit and watch the buttons fill both on the top navigation bar and the lower navigation buttons
Not end of the world stuff but does not make the site feel as fast.

Once again alerts are not working. Have the red flags on alert page but no emails.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Feb 2003 14:39 - 691 of 7315

Balthazar,

I will look into this problem for you.

If you need to contact me directly to discuss the matter, please use support@moneyam.com

Balthazar B,

on your Alerts page, does the one in question say disable or enable?

Ian

Balthazar B - 10 Feb 2003 15:02 - 693 of 7315

IanT

I reset the alerts when I noticed that the prices had moved, but did not notice if the stocks in question said disable or enable. I just changed the prices, saved and clicked on the red flag.

If another price moves I will post whether it says disable or enable.

Thanks Balthazar B,

I have just run a trial here and it has been triggered and E mail received. If you are still experiencing problems then please E mail me and I will look into it.

Thanks Ian

Bid price of TRK dropped from 16p to 15p at 15.15. It is now 15.32 and I have not received an email. On my alerts page I do have a red flag and in the enabled column it says yes. Any ideas ?

Balthazar B - 10 Feb 2003 15:32 - 697 of 7315

Emails from other sites are coming through fine.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Feb 2003 15:34 - 698 of 7315

I will contact our technical team to look into this for you.

I know it is a simple thing, lbut could you please check that the right E mail address is in the E mail field, and if you have another E mail that you could use, could you try this one for me.

Regards
Ian

Balthazar B - 10 Feb 2003 15:47 - 699 of 7315

Ian

Email address in the email field is correct. When alerts have been working previously at your end I have always received the email alerts.

Only have the one email address. If you want to email me your telephone number I am happy to give you a ring.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Feb 2003 15:56 - 700 of 7315

Balthazar,

I will look into this and sort it out for you.

Thank you for your patience with this matter

Ian

MoneyAM

I am trying to read some News stories, everytime I click on a story it tells me my subscription does not cover this service.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 13 Feb 2003 17:21 - 702 of 7315

jeffmack,

This should now be fixed (tried on my test user!)

Thanks for reporting this!

Have just discovered that I have been logged in as Kayak. Haven't the faintest idea how, but haven't done him any (serious!) harm. Never met him, haven't a clue what his log-in is or anything so wonder how this has happened! Anyhow, got booted out also, but got a bit of a shock!

Kayak - 13 Feb 2003 22:34 - 705 of 7315

Sorry about the shock :-)
