THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haazy1,

You post reminds me of everyday life at a No 10 cabinet meeting and the successes that Cameron and your tribe boasts about every day.

Good to watch the neo-cons and new fascist party pulling themselves apart in public rather than the dormitory.

Mind with the Old Boy Boris back on the stage there is a sense of amusement about their present antics.

Also, the twisting and turning Osborne is doing over his next budget.

Laughable.

The YouGov view: Remain is ahead, with support from fundamentals

Haystack - 05 Mar 2016 20:53 - 68626 of 81564

YouGov have released some fresh EU polling, a batch of five new polls conducted in the last two weeks. The most recent poll, conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, has topline figures of Remain 40%, Leave 37% and the three polls before that also showed Remain with a small lead. While YouGov have been typically showing a very tight race, their 2016 polls up to now have shown small leads for LEAVE, so four YouGov polls in a row showing REMAIN ahead suggests some movement. It will be interesting to see if that is reflected in other polling, and whether movement continues in that direction.

EU fuels terror and fascism, warns Gove

Tim Shipman, Political Editor Published: 6 March 2016

The London mayor and the justice secretary warned that staying in the EU would make it harder to identify terrorists and keep the UK safe and accused Brussels of fuelling a rise in “Hitler worshippers” across the continent.

In Gove’s first newspaper interview since declaring that he would campaign to leave, he told The Sunday Times that the European Court of Justice has undermined the ability of the UK intelligence agencies to monitor terrorist suspects.

He also blamed the EU for the worst upsurge in the far right “at any time since the 1930s”. Johnson said EU rules were “prejudicial” to British security and the ability to deport terrorists.

Their intervention comes as a bitter row exploded over claims that Downing Street had stepped in to silence a business boss who backed Brexit.

Changed my Desktop Background picture earlier.

Google for 'sunny shores background' for some utterly gorgeous 'round the world' beach scenes. The download has a built-in facility to do the change automatically.

If people in this Country want services then they will have to pay for them, it's as simple as that.

MaxK - 06 Mar 2016 23:27 - 68634 of 81564

What are they supposed to pay for them with Stan, turnips?

Stan - 06 Mar 2016 23:34 - 68635 of 81564

What sort of stupid question is that Max, money of course.

MaxK - 06 Mar 2016 23:37 - 68636 of 81564

Where do they get the money from Stan?

Haystack - 06 Mar 2016 23:39 - 68637 of 81564

Then they won't ask for so many services.

Stan - 06 Mar 2016 23:44 - 68638 of 81564

Another stupid question that you know the answer to.

MaxK - 06 Mar 2016 23:44 - 68639 of 81564
