Hi Seq - going short on SEO - that is a brave move.

I am hoping that it has bottomed now and reached a "support" level. - hope I am using the right terminology.

Then again - I have been horribly wrong in the past.

Naa,
I feel neglected...

IC article today says as we all know that all the good news for 2006 is already in the price - notes that Hardman have now downgraded their estimates and show a big loss at prelims in 2006 as they believe SE0 cannot get enough orders by October 31st to avoid prelim loss.

For those who want to see Hardmans latest update on SE0 please see the link below - they try to remain positive - they have too as they were so very positive before - but the negative side is creeping in - I would expect the next update to be again less positive and more negative - as is the trend with EVO too - from buy to add to hold soon and then IMO all will say sell - no orders - lots of talk - no big orders.

I thought we got rid of him (didn't know how to negotiate the site)

belisce6 - 04 Jul 2005 18:02 - 6881 of 27111

It does say - (in regards to the restated estimates); "This is a timing difference, not a change in our long term expectations for the product."

driver - 04 Jul 2005 18:12 - 6882 of 27111

Does ii read the stuff he post on here, that link from Hardmans is very positive if I wasn't in SEO I would be after that report.

bosley - 04 Jul 2005 18:21 - 6883 of 27111

well worth a look at hardmans link. also , considering the luck and bad timing of seqs trades in seo , i feel much better now he is short.........:)

bosley - 04 Jul 2005 18:23 - 6884 of 27111

oh driver, i did the link with out your help...... starting to get the hang of this pc nonsense, slowly but surely

NielsJensen - 04 Jul 2005 18:35 - 6885 of 27111

I've had ii squelched (strangled) for a long time, but the new bb revived him/it. I noticed he goes on and on about the patent. Now, seriously, what happens if it turns out a patent for Greenseal cannot be granted? (Or, is it another ii lie that there is no patent????)

ii is now squelched again, so ii; you don't need to comment for my sake.

bosley - 04 Jul 2005 18:40 - 6886 of 27111

according to the hardman report that ii very kindly linked us to , it talks about jvs with other companies regarding what seo would do with biotec. i think it ties up nicely with this bit , borrowed from gf's carclo thread (hope he doesn't mind!)

"The development of water soluble capsules for drug delivery is ongoing with our
partner, Stanelco plc. We are concentrating on increasing the starch content of
the capsules to allow us both to reduce cost and, more importantly, to
facilitate the process of regulatory approval. We are in the process of
presenting the capsule technology to a number of drug development companies"

if memory serves, the dispute with bprg was about the welding of polymers . starch isn't a polymer so ingel could be back on track. or have i missed something?

bhunt1910 - 04 Jul 2005 18:41 - 6887 of 27111

Just found this in the Hardman report - makes interesting reading.

Basically the article is still positive - but they have adjusted their forecasts to take account of the slower than anticipated orders. They are keen to emphasise that this is not a change in expectation - JUST a timing difference.

"...trimming estimates for 2005 to take account of the slower start to anticipated sales of Greanseal. This is a timing difference, not a change in long term expectation.

I guess I can wait.

Bos, I was talking about a patent for Greenseal.

bosley - 04 Jul 2005 18:47 - 6890 of 27111

niels, i didn't realise there was an issue with greenseal?

driver - 04 Jul 2005 19:24 - 6891 of 27111

NielsJensen
I got this from another site I am sure he won't mind, it may help.

I can confirm that the foamed starch patent application ( WO2004103687 ) has nothing whatsoever to do with Stanelco's Greenseal technology as applied to it's use in tray-lidding and thermoforming.

This is is made clear in an email I received from Terry Robins last Thursday. Apologies for not posting it before, but I have been away for a few days without access to a computer!

Hello

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier but I've been out to Biotec in Germany for a couple of days. Regarding your query I have to state that you are correct. We have successfully converted a Multivac thermoformer packaging machine to RF welding and have demonstrated both excellent weld seals and peel seal using the same material both without the traditional laminations of polyethylene on the PVC materials.

The only modifications to this machine were to the sealing and not to the thermoforming head which was left as standard to Multivac's design.

As this information is in the public domain I see no reason why it should not be repeated.

Hope this clears up any doubts.

Regards

Terry

Stanelco's use of RF in tray-lidding and thermoforming machines is for sealing only. It doesn't involve the conversion of the thermoforming heads in thermoforming machines to produce a foamed starch tray. Hence, there is no link to the Patent, and no link to the ASDA agreement.

Remember that a thermoforming machine and a tray lidding machine do much the same thing. the only difference is that the former uses pre-formed trays, whilst the latter forms a shallow tray on the machine itself.

Hope this clears up the issue once and for all.

Hi bosley,

re: 6886: Taken from the interims:

"Two other capsule projects are unaffected by the outcome of the litigation and
are progressing independently of InGel:

We are working with Carclo plc to develop hard shell water soluble capsules for
drug delivery. We are concentrating on increasing the starch content of the
capsules to allow us both to reduce cost and, more importantly, to facilitate
the process of regulatory approval. This technology is in the process of being
presented to a number of drug development companies. We are anticipating that
the involvement of Biotec in this venture will significantly reduce development
timescales and increase the likelihood of success.

We have also been working with Reckitt Benckiser to help develop their
Electrasol(R) 2 in 1 Gelpacs(R)(a) automatic dishwasher detergent capsules.
These are now available and selling well in North America. Stanelco receives a
royalty for each capsule sold."

Hope this helps.
