Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.
Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.
Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).
Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.
The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.
People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

Movilnet to Offer Subscribers Full-Featured BREW-Enabled Wireless Handsets
28th April , 2004
ASIA : QUALCOMM Incorporated, pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, congratulates Venezuelan operator Movilnet on the successful launch of wireless data services based on QUALCOMM's BREW solution. Movilnet is a Cantv company and provider of products and services for voice, data, Internet access, cellular telephony and telephone directories.
Movilnet's new BREW-based "3rd Generation Services" allow the company's 2.8 million wireless subscribers to browse and download a variety of applications -- such as e-mail, entertainment, communication services, games and ringtones -- on their wireless devices using the operator's third- generation (3G) CDMA2000(R) 1X network.
"The flexibility afforded by QUALCOMM's BREW system is ideal for offering value-added services to our customers in a quick and cost-effective manner," said Jose Maria De Viana, president of Movilnet. "The launch of our 3rd Generation Services demonstrates our commitment to bringing the industry's best 3G wireless applications to our subscribers. With these exciting new products and services, such as real-time Internet Web cam and video services, we anticipate these services will be met with great enthusiasm from users throughout Venezuela."
Since the BREW system allows content developers to build applications in a variety of languages, including Spanish, Movilnet can offer products and services specifically designed for the Venezuelan market. "3rd Generation Services" subscribers can initially select from four different BREW-enabled handsets, Kyocera Slider, 3245 and 3225, and Motorola T-730 color phones, immediately available by Movilnet.
"As one of the first operators in South America to deploy a CDMA2000 1X network, and by bringing BREW-based services to Venezuela, Movilnet has set the bar for advanced 3G services in the region," said Marcelo Valdez, regional director of Americas, QUALCOMM Internet Services. "QUALCOMM is thrilled that Movilnet chose the BREW system to power 3rd Generation Services. We look
forward to working closely with the Movilnet team and we are pleased with the new opportunities it creates for the growing community of global developers."
QUALCOMM's BREW system provides products and services that connect the mobile marketplace value chain, which includes application developers, publishers, content providers, device manufacturers, operators and consumers. Publishers and developers worldwide are generating revenue from BREW-based
applications and content, and 26 manufacturers have offered more than 135 BREW-enabled device models to consumers. Movilnet Venezuela joins many very successful operators that have deployed commercial BREW-based wireless data services, including Verizon Wireless, ALLTEL, Cellular One, MetroPCS, Midwest Wireless and U.S. Cellular in the United States; China Unicom, KDDI in Japan, KTF in South Korea, Hutchison Wireless CAT in Thailand, Telstra in Australia, VIVO in Brazil, BellSouth International, Telefonica Moviles in Peru, Movicom in Argentina, Verizon in the Dominican Republic, Verizon Wireless Puerto Rico and Pelephone in Israel.

ELSPA ANNOUNCES NEW MOBILE GAMES CHART
As mobile phone gaming becomes ever more popular, ELSPA (Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association) today announced the launch of its brand new chart reflecting the nations favourite games to play on the go.
ELSPA, which issues its Official UK Leisure Software Charts compiled by Chart-Track for PC and console games software on a weekly basis, has initiated this new monthly chart in response to the lack of official, reliable data on mobile games sales. It is anticipated the chart will enable the industry to gauge market performance in a previously unmonitored area, as well as providing consumers with a method of choosing and tracking the top games.
The chart will be based upon the sales figures for Java downloads, supplied initially by the four key mobile operators: O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone. It is estimated that they currently command approximately 80 percent of the mobile games download market.
Simon Dean, Head of Games, O2 commented, This marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation and openness between operators. The chart reflects the increased penetration of mobile games with consumers, and demonstrates the mobile games network becoming a unified area of the gaming industry. We are delighted to be a part of it.
Mark Ashford, UK Head of Music and Games, Orange remarked, At long last it is the consumer who decides on the status of the games. We hope the chart will enable mobile games players to decide on the most popular games and will aid them in their purchasing decisions.
Graham Thomas, Vice President of Content Services, T-Mobile stated: We welcome that ELSPA is driving this initiative. Mobile is an exciting, easy-to-use and ubiquitous gaming platform and a great addition to the traditional games industry. This chart will serve to prove that mobile gaming is a growing market with the potential to generate substantial revenues.
Al Russell, Head of Content Services, Vodafone commented, Mobile games are here to stay. The introduction of this new chart recognises the mobile games industrys established customer base and demonstrates our swift progress from being an initially niche market to a multi-million pound industry.
Michael Rawlinson, deputy director general of ELSPA commented, The mobile games chart is a natural extension of ELSPAs existing chart range. We are pleased to recognise mobile gaming as an established and ever-growing sector of the games industry, and are confident the chart will prove beneficial for both the industry and consumers alike.

Taito to launch mobile phone game service in Middle East
TOKYO, April 5 (KUNA) -- Japan's Taito Corp., a major maker of commercial
game machines, will expand its distribution of Space Invader and other games
via mobile phones, aiming to offer the service in the Middle East and other
regions, totaling 100 countries, a major Japanese business daily reported
Monday.
The company sources told the Nikkei Shimbun that Taito plans to start the
service in the Middle East and Latin America, in particular Iran and Brazil,
and increase the number of mobile phone services handling the company's games
in the U.S. and Europe by the end of next year.
Through the move, it aims to quadruple overseas sales from the mobile phone
content business to about JPY 2 billion (KD 5.6 million) for the year through
March next year, the daily said.
The company is distributing or will distribute Space Invader, which was a
big hit in the late 1970s, and several other games through a number of mobile
phone operators, including Vodafone Plc, in foreign countries, according to
the report.
Taito has just begun distributing the games through Hutchison and two other
mobile phone operators in India, in partnership with a local software firm. It
has launched the service for users of Sprint PCS's mobile phone service in the
United States.
With the Space Invader game still highly popular, mainly in Europe, Taito
currently generates about JPY 500 million (KD 1.4 million) in annual sales
from some 40 countries. (end)

Huge write up in Shares this morning, well done and thanks for having a more in depth look at the figures (scary, someones watching!). Just one point that seems to be missed, it appears that SPS get 2.50 per direct OTA download, I have alos heard that they get $1 to $2.50 per embedded game, put that with the chip royalty and the 10 million handsets by January should push it well into profits, after that the sky is the limit.

SUPERSCAPE AWARDED $1.2M CONTRACT FROM GLOBAL WIRELESS ENTERTAINMENT
Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS), leaders in revolutionary entertainment for
mobile phones, announces today that it has won a contract, with a value of
$1.2m, to develop a new portfolio of mobile games for Californian-based Global
Wireless Entertainment Inc, (GWE). In addition to the development contract,
Superscape will also work with GWE to distribute the games to global handset
manufacturers and operators, for which Superscape will receive ongoing royalty
revenues every time a game is downloaded over the air or supplied direct to a
third party.
The new games will be based on high-profile IP (intellectual property) brands
from leading entertainment companies; details on specific titles will be
announced over the course of the next few months.
This latest contract with GWE follows the previous announcements in January 2004
detailing agreements for Superscape to develop games based on Evel Knievel and
the Ivan Stewart Ironman brands.
Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: 'The expansion of our
relationship with GWE through this major contract provides us with the
opportunity to bring some very exciting new Swerve-based game titles to the
market over the course of the next twelve months. Our expanding catalogue of
Swerve titles has already received very positive responses from global handset
manufacturers and operators, and I am confident that the new titles will be
received equally well.
'There are huge mass market revenues in mobile gaming, and the relationship
between Superscape and GWE is a key element in ensuring that we participate
fully in these opportunities.'
Paul Buss, President, GWE said: 'We selected Superscape late last year to build
two titles after reaching the conclusion their 3D game engine would offer a
compelling competitive advantage. After seeing the incredible results, including
captivating visuals and their dedication to promote the titles, we decided to
move further IP to market together. GWE has access to fantastic entertainment
brands, when these brands are combined with Superscape's Swerve technology, I
believe the result will be the next popular wave in mobile games. For both
companies, this is a real win:win partnership.'

SUPERSCAPE Another new contract
The mobile gaming group has announced a further contract. This time it is with Global Wireless Entertainment Inc, (GWE) and unusually for Superscape, it has detailed the contract value at $1.2 million. GWE is an existing relationship for the group, and an important one.
Superscapes technology lead is providing it with the opportunity to approach world leading content owners and offer them a route to additional revenue streams not available anywhere else. Inevitably, this is a window of opportunity which the group has to exploit well as competition will attempt to move in at some point. This is why Kevin Roberts and the sales team are spending much of the time globe trotting converting content owners to customers and ensuring they are locked in. GWE, as brand licensor, already has many of the customers Superscape is seeking, and by partnering with them, it will cut down dramatically the time to market. We are encouraged by GWEs comments that having selected Superscape last year for two titles they were wowed by the incredible results of the games that the deal today involves the payment of $1.2 million to produce more. Superscape and GWE will jointly benefit from the royalties earned from Over the Air downloads and embedded games onto handset sales.
The model is shaping and Superscape feels as if it is slowly converting the cynics to its business model. We recently argued taking a position at 27p and we would happily endorse that view at 34p where they trade this morning

Happy1, will look at the citywire article later but I know that it should be good as they are stronjg supporters. One point that investors are having trouble with, especially on Ample is the licensing revenue. I think that the fundamental difference in the revenue received depends uponif it is an OTA download or embedded on the phone at point of sale. my understanding is that OTS will bring in 2.50 per game, given the cost of premier 2d games, this is completely reasonable. I also believe that when a distributor such as the american distributor sells a swerved game, this will generate a smaller revenue, around $1 to $2.50 per game as they will be mass sold. The point is that the distributors will ensure that every phone has at least on game on, put that with the chip revenues, OTA downloads, etc and the figures imply that SPS could be worth significantly more than some viewers suggest.
