Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I'm glad we are getting out, which is what my family voted for, because the EU wasn't being run democratically.

If I were to play Steve Davis at snooker, me making bad shots would almost certainly lower the standard of the game. Instead of me going up to his level, he would have to come down to mine.

eg. I'd probably scatter the reds all over the table, thereby completely removing his ability to make a maximum break and pot 15 blacks after potting 15 reds.

In other words, if I played him, I'd have to convert Steve Davis into 'a Leftie'. That's what lefties do. They believe in taking 'everyone's game' down to a lower standard. Then they say, 'That's fair.'

Allowing someone to be better than someone else is not what lefties are about. They don't like it. Lefties have to knock down and prevent ascension up.

Of course, just as in any other walk of life, you probably get hypocritical lefties. I suppose Tony Blair is one. Indeed, the political ranks of 'lefties' are full of them.
