THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

cynic - 17 Mar 2016 16:56 - 69081 of 81564

you really are the most pompous, supercilious and sanctimonious individual i have ever had the misfortune to come across

jimmy b - 17 Mar 2016 16:56 - 69082 of 81564

Who's xenophobic views are you talking about cynic ,because most of us just don't want our country taken over.

PS you know that i don't know why you bother with him ,i have had him squelched for some time.

VICTIM - 17 Mar 2016 16:58 - 69083 of 81564

Ah well never mind then .Carry on .

cynic - 17 Mar 2016 16:59 - 69084 of 81564

don't know off-hand, but certainly it seems that some of you would indeed like to pull up the drawbridge as your buddy fred likes to keep repeating

Chris Carson - 17 Mar 2016 16:59 - 69085 of 81564

Hope weren't planning to go out tonight jimmy :0)

cynic - Why don't you just tell Fred to Foxtrot Oscar? everybody else does.

cynic - 17 Mar 2016 17:01 - 69086 of 81564

because i choose not to, and every so often a sensible response is worthwhile, even if the subsequent retort may not be

jimmy b - 17 Mar 2016 17:03 - 69087 of 81564

I would like to pull up the drawbridge cynic and set fire to the moat because right now the country i grew up in is finished unless we act fast .
I am totally pissed off with all the left wing do gooders and political correctness .

cynic - 17 Mar 2016 17:33 - 69088 of 81564

there's a difference between an open-door policy as fred would advocate, and allowing immigration for those who offer something in return - along the oz points system if you like

from a moral point of view, i think we have an absolute obligation to accept a quantity of genuine war refugees - eg syrians ...... of course many of those will be highly qualified too!
not sure that 20,000 over 5 years is reasonable, but 200,000 would be too many i think and of course, 2,000,000 totally preposterous

Fred1new - 17 Mar 2016 17:38 - 69089 of 81564

Manuel,

Have a better day tomorrow!

Fred1new - 17 Mar 2016 17:38 - 69090 of 81564

Manuel,

You are attempting to mind-read and suggesting solutions I have never thought acceptable.

Read my previous postings.

will10 - 17 Mar 2016 19:15 - 69091 of 81564

Just knocking back a Guinness or two with a few paddy's off the site. Made the mistake of looking in.I probably regret it tomorrow. Just want to say, at a 'do' the other month spoke to a nice Syrian lad. Told me his story. He swam most way across channel. Plucked out just in time by coastguard. In the process now. By the way Tanker took your advice last month, provided some of my time to help a local charity re model an old house. First refugee now comfortably settled in. If you have some spare time look up a charity in your area and help out..

Fred1new - 17 Mar 2016 19:27 - 69092 of 81564

From to-day on will Manuel's friend Cameron be known as the Tampon PM?

Haystack - 17 Mar 2016 22:11 - 69093 of 81564

Australia are celebrating 600 days without boats of immigrants coming to their shores.

VICTIM - 18 Mar 2016 07:23 - 69094 of 81564

What a wonderful person you are Wil , having a Guiness on St Patricks day , comforting some refugee with a story , was there someone standing over you with a Halo , just another 80,000 thousand more Syrians over here and you'll be happy if I remember rightly .

jimmy b - 18 Mar 2016 09:12 - 69100 of 81564

I think Britain is already nearly finished ,if we vote out there just may be a chance of saving it but we would need the right people who are not just in it for them selves.
