required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Blinkin' Gunners....did not see the game but had a punt on them....grrrr....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 08:42 - 692 of 6918

Trouble with a bet like that is that neither Chelsea nor Arsenal needed to win, so as the news reports suggest, neither team really put up much of a performance.

Can't see them going much further this year because to win the champions league you need a winning habit, just chuggin' through the knockout stages is no good....

No bet from me on ManCity tonight.....that will mean that they will win....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 09:07 - 695 of 6918

Maybe same principal though:
Man C 2-1 Villarreal . . . . . (Coral odds on Man C win 8/13) (decimal 1.61)
SC Otelul Galati 0-2 Man U. ( " " on Man U win 1/12) (decimal 1.08)

Maybe Europa League a better bet on thurs: (1st leg results)
Club Brugge 1-2 Birmingham
Stoke 3-0 Macc Tel-Aviv
Spurs 1-0 Rubin Kazan

Put 2 small ones on Ajax and Inter......a bit risky but good odds....I do the decimal, not very good on the fractional odds....

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 10:03 - 697 of 6918

Ajax 1/2 (1.5 dec), Inter 8/11 (1.72 dec)
Ajax already 2-0 up away from home, Inter 1-0 up away from home. Good luck, but Ajax may not put out a very strong squad on that basis.

HARRYCAT - 02 Nov 2011 20:55 - 698 of 6918

Looking good rf! Currently 2-0 to MC. Ajax & Inter winning.

Won both.....makes a change.....

required field - 03 Nov 2011 08:32 - 700 of 6918

Going for Birmingham and Lazio to win....risky once again....but not bad odds...

required field - 12 Nov 2011 19:31 - 701 of 6918

Can't believe it England 1- Spain 0.......beaten Spain...well done lads....perhaps that's the best way against them...sit back ...soak up the pressure and catch them quick....and well done Ireland...second leg just a formality...

ptholden - 12 Nov 2011 21:52 - 702 of 6918

Lampard's best game in an England shirt for a long time.
Parker still in the form of his life, two quality midfield players tonight.
Jakielka & Lescott solid st the back
Poor ball retention and little quality going forward, so still a lot to do. Hope the ingerrland mob don't start thinking we are world beaters!

required field - 13 Nov 2011 11:39 - 703 of 6918

Spain to be fair were by far the better team.....most of the time our lot just don't know what to do with it when they get it,....it seems that when one player has the ball the others don't help that player enough,....they don't anticipate that the player in possession needs a lot of support with at least 2 or 3 choices for passing it on......this has been a big problem for England for many a year.....but still the same the defending was a lot better than usual and they were a bit lucky...

Dil - 14 Nov 2011 10:56 - 704 of 6918

"Hope the ingerrland mob don't start thinking we are world beaters! " .... I don't pt :)

Dil - you never have mate!

Crikey...they've beaten the bogey team....we never beat the swedes...missed the game but saw the very end when Sweden came with a whisker of getting a goal.....good for the ratings...log on to Fifa.com and there is a great little toy to play with with the ratings...you can work out which position each country will be in...
Each country has a bogey team...for the Germans, it is Brazil...they never beat them, and I think that Sweden was one for Italy for a long time and for the Brazilians : Argentina springs to mind...

Dil - 17 Nov 2011 12:00 - 707 of 6918

... Wales have got lots of bogey teams :-)

required field - 17 Nov 2011 18:15 - 708 of 6918

Euhhh...all of them ?...
