The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.
Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

The scale of cost overruns and especially the "hedge" (I think "gamble" is a better word) that went wrong is incredible. The company goes forward with a race against time to swing into full production by 28 Feb 2006 (little more than 2 working months allowing for Christmas) and a huge debt of 100M?? round its neck for years to come.
For those relieved to have seen the shares re-listed and holding a very overweight position, I'm pretty amazed you haven't let go of these like a very hot potato!
Good luck but I can't see these doing anything but drop in price (IMHO only).
Edit. 116p when I started this piece. 105p when I finished it.

This is a good example of what can happen when any company gets too dependent on its lender. Glad I hold BARC rather than BFC.

Looking through the announcement one can't help but think that the Company has been shafted by Barclays and will continue to be shafted by Barclays for the forseeable future.
It's a scandal.

How much does the asset worth?
The bank didn't have to invest more. It seems the market cap is around 30M now, too cheap IMO.

I feel sorry for the holders of this company. The best think for the holders is to cut your losses now. It looks like more drops to come. I have never witnessed an 100k mm buy follwed by further drop.

S**t! What a time to be out most of the day. Only just got in Jimmy, not sure what to do now, well done if you got out above a pound. At least we didn't loose everything which is what I was expecting.

Frampton ,fancy going out !! today was the day, ,
i stopped out 2 spread bets and a CFD at various prices ,but well over the pound ,, i had a feeling we would'nt go bankrupt , although that was a tense couple of weeks ..Lost a lot ,but learned a valuable lesson and thank god it didn't nearly clean me out ,i played this one badly .

Still not sure Jimmy. I switched the computer off at 9.30 - typical. If I'd been around at the opening I'd have sold straight away. I currently can't sell on line anyway. Not happy with the company - obviously (!) but there has to be a point where it seems cheap - has the lowest price been hit already. I'm currently 41% down, feel I should cut and run, but is it at the bottom already?

It has bounced slightly , so who knows it may depend on what deal they have done , do i think it will bounce back to the 140's soon ,,no i don't,, but other than that i don't know ,,,,i sold out because i think i can make money elsewhere ..

I don't think it will get back to 140 soon. I can't understand why it hasn't plummeted further - surely most holders are just desperate to get something back. Who's mopping up all the sells?

Don't know ,but what about the debt ? even if this gets up and running ,i suppose if your prepared to hold long term ,,,but now this is a company that goes against my new rules of investing /trading , i'm sure i'll get caught again ,but hopefully not like this. Like you i am surprised it's not 40 or 50p..

This isn't a company I'm happy to hold long term now, I don't trust them at all, I'm just trying to think where the best exit route is in the short term - since I obviously missed the best one this morning, I don't think I have to rush into anything just yet. Anyhow, I have to keep telling myself, this is a much better deal than I was expecting - I can currently get back 61% of my money (though I still can't trade online) - last week I though all, or the majority was lost.
