some of the top surgeons are indian for starters
best theatre nurses are reckoned to be south african or from elsewhere .... no longer british or even uk trained

who drives your buses?
what nationality are most most restaurant, bar and hotel staff? .... not british
who does all the menial jobs around the hospitals, hotels, airports etc etc?

My Doctor left a few years back to go and work in Nova Scotia ,i knew him quite well he told me he had had enough of the NHS here ,it's a shame.

jimmy - are you talking about hospital staff? ..... if so, that may be because the medical profession in all its guises was seen as a really worthwhile profession ..... also, it used to be that uk nursing training was then the best in the world, but i think that is no longer so

it's also relevant that, regardless of immigrants, uk now has a much larger population, and a growing proportion of them getting well past their prime

A large amount of "overseas" and "immigrant" NHS staff have been adequately trained and in some areas better trained than the indigenous members of staff.

Many of "medical" doctors seem as part of "experience" and "specialisation" seem to wander around the globe (including Europe) to broaden their background before returning home or settling in their country of choice.

There was 100,000 applications for training places from the indigenous population but only 30,000 available places last year....

Of course its easier to recruit foreign medical staff..No training cost and it keeps wages down, but takes skilled workers from their own countries.

Thats what you get constantly from the pro immigration brigade... they keep telling us that the British won't do this or that job, that we're not good enough, that's their take on the British worker..It makes you wonder how we managed before labour opened the door to mass immigration.
