THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Oh boy Obama is standing with Belgium , is that the man who represents the USA , the ones who had to rely on the Russians to bomb ISIS oil tankers .

A woman beheaded in the road. Five headless corpses hanging from cranes. As a documentary exposes the horror of life in Saudi Arabia, why DOES Britain cosy up to this kingdom of savagery?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3502079/Saudi-Arabia-s-kingdom-savagery-DOES-Britain-cosy-butchers.html

I think this documentary is to aired this week about Saudi . Why do we have anything to do with any of these countries .

VICTIM - 22 Mar 2016 15:08 - 69358 of 81564

=====================

SAUDI
there's no question but that it is a distinctly oppressive regime, and woe betide you if you fall foul of the muttaween (the strict religious police)

i think much of this oppression stems from the inherent weakness of the house of saud (ruling family) who are wahhabi sunni (strictly orthodox), for there is a significant minority in the country who are shia

house of saud is friendly to the west, but of course that upsets the large fundamentalist clique in the court, that also has many adherents throughout the country
thus there are always the seeds for underlying unrest

i think i've got all the above correct

jimmy b - 22 Mar 2016 16:18 - 69371 of 81564

See what i mean ,it's gone pear shaped already if you excuse the pun.
I would at least expect Fred to recognise it.

ExecLine - 22 Mar 2016 18:37 - 69372 of 81564

In February 1945, King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia met President Franklin D. Roosevelt aboard the 'USS Quincy' in the Suez Canal.

A historic handshake agreeing on supplying oil to the USA in exchange for guaranteed protection to the Saudi regime is still in force today. Despite a few hiccups, this deal has survived seven Saudi Kings and twelve US presidents.

We the Brits missed out on a deal with the Saudis.....so they turned to the USA....anyway coming back to the atrocities : what is needed to combat these nutcases is help from the muslim community : I mean they must be shocked as anybody to these murders...they could do more than what they are doing at the moment which is sitting on their hands it seems....sorry but that community needs to do more....

MaxK - 22 Mar 2016 22:51 - 69374 of 81564

What community?

Grow up and see reality!

VICTIM - 23 Mar 2016 07:39 - 69375 of 81564

No what we really need is a load of Nations leaders to walk down a street in Brussels holding hands saying it's War , then continuing to let the world into Europe unchecked throwing money we haven't got at this that and anything , while having a nutcase woman decide the fate of innocent people she's supposed to look after .
