Sure the dollar drops more eventually?

Not sure if that was a general comment or a question for me?

So I'm not sure the dollar drops more. In fact, after a rapid move like
this, I'd be inclined to look for a correction up first before it weakened
some more, if it was going to.

Looking at todays move in Gold and /$, would it be fair to say that
the market took the opportunity to take out the Bear Stops before
dropping?

Today's the first day that I'm properly around in nearly two weeks.

I seem to have missed:

a) The surge towards $2
b) The Furry Fairy's Birthday. Belated Happy Birthday MM.

Hil: Thank you -- but the surge seems to have lost some of its impetus. It's an age thing, I expect.

The market heard you were away so its come back to allow you to hop on...

I'm not so sure we may get another up leg towards the $2 vicinity with cable since the release of the poorer than expected Oct industrial figs earlier.

The expected 25bp Feb hike is sitting on soft grounds atm.

Just my opinion so could well be wrong.

Staying short Euro for now.
1.30 yesterday threatened stop, 3.00 got happy again.
ECB rate rise in the price and implied but what if they don't because sudden Euro rise threatens economy going forward?
Hey Fib retracement and new support/old resistance test might even be good place to go long again

Who do you all use to trade with ?

I have only ever used Finspreads but now wish look at other options so any ideas welcome.

Realistically it was a bit much to ask for cable to continue that climb to $2 without some pullback.. The fall back to 1.9650 area might provide a more sustainable base from which to rally to that objective now.

although we will need a clear breach of 1.9775 to firmly make $2 a possibility

dil, i've used finspreads and captial spreads. only used fxcm in demo mode but it seemed simple enough. you even get phone calls off joe krakowski from new jersey trying to get you to sign up but i think he struggled with my bolton accent a little and eventually gave up.
