THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

P69404,

I think she would pair up credibly with JB.

Birds of a feather.

rekirkham getting rid of the saudi royals won't solve the problem, just excarbate it...No matter what you think of dictators like Sadam Husein or Assad in countries in the middle east and a lot in Africa like Libya, need someone of that calibre to keep control of all the different sects, otherwise it just disintergrates...

When Yugoslavia was controlled by Tito he kept the country together, once he went it all fell apart.

overthrow of the house of saud would lead to unbelievable chaos and bloodshed across the whole region ...... it doesn't bear thinking about

Blair and Bush should never have touched any of them , leave them be .
It was ok before , now look at what we have ,i just wish the middle east would stay where it is ,we don't want them here in Europe ,look at what they have brought .

Fred1new - 23 Mar 2016 13:52 - 69412 of 81564

BRUSSELS
an interesting snippet below from today's guardian ....

Turkey said it had deported Ibrahim el-Bakraoui to the Netherlands in the summer of 2015 and had warned Belgium that he was a suspected foreign fighter.

inter alia, note that turkey deported this chap without any fuss at all
what do you think would have happened in uk?

VICTIM - 24 Mar 2016 09:17 - 69417 of 81564

Well did it take 10 million or so to get rid of the man with the hook , endless appeals . Some ex Conservative said yesterday that the EU was heaven to Terrorists and criminals because EU laws prevented you from deporting them and their accomplices .

VICTIM - 24 Mar 2016 09:39 - 69418 of 81564

I have thought that if Labour said they want out of the EU what do you think would happen .

cynic - 24 Mar 2016 09:51 - 69419 of 81564

well they haven't, and their MPs are clearly under clear instruction to stay schtum

in the light of the split among the general populace, it is inconceivable that there isn't at least a sizeable minority who want to leave

National Lottery winners were left in anger last night after those who matched five numbers ended up with less money than people that matched only three.

Punters with five winning numbers in Wednesday's Lotto draw ended up with just £15. This compared to £25 for people that matched three balls, and £51 for people that matched four.
Camelot are really managing to drive people away.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned already but take a look at the chocolate eggs on sale. Most makers have remove the word Easter from eggs so as not to upset people of other faiths. However, I think it is a cynical attempt to widen the customer base and sell Easter eggs to Muslims etc.
