THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I have thought that if Labour said they want out of the EU what do you think would happen .

cynic - 24 Mar 2016 09:51 - 69419 of 81564

well they haven't, and their MPs are clearly under clear instruction to stay schtum

in the light of the split among the general populace, it is inconceivable that there isn't at least a sizeable minority who want to leave

National Lottery winners were left in anger last night after those who matched five numbers ended up with less money than people that matched only three.

Punters with five winning numbers in Wednesday's Lotto draw ended up with just £15. This compared to £25 for people that matched three balls, and £51 for people that matched four.
Camelot are really managing to drive people away.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned already but take a look at the chocolate eggs on sale. Most makers have remove the word Easter from eggs so as not to upset people of other faiths. However, I think it is a cynical attempt to widen the customer base and sell Easter eggs to Muslims etc.

Fred1new - 24 Mar 2016 18:10 - 69423 of 81564

Profits!

69423---slowly but surely undermining the Christian faith.

Haystack - 24 Mar 2016 20:12 - 69426 of 81564

Well that would be a very good thing anyway.

2517GEORGE - 24 Mar 2016 20:24 - 69427 of 81564

WHAT! The Christian faith is being replaced by the Muslim faith, and not just in the UK but the rest of Europe, is that what you want H?

Haystack - 24 Mar 2016 20:36 - 69428 of 81564

I want no faith. The reality is that the Christian faith is disappearing at a rate of knots. However, the Muslim faith is the fastest growing religion in the world.

ExecLine - 24 Mar 2016 22:30 - 69429 of 81564

I would now like to urgently see some senior members of the Muslim religion hierarchy appear on TV and be VISIBLY SEEN TO STRONGLY AND ACTIVELY DENOUNCE the atrocities which have now clearly been committed by Muslim terrorist fanatics.

They are silent and absent.

Accordingly, I am now leaning more than slightly with a feeling that they are being seen by lots of people as being somewhat complicit and supportive with that silence.

grannyboy - 24 Mar 2016 22:42 - 69430 of 81564

The muslim faith is the fastest growing in the world...The reason being that they breed more, its demographics.

Same as in a few years they'l be influencing law making in this country, because there'l will be more muslims in power.

Then its only a matter of time before sharia law comes to the fore..

That sounds like a board meeting at the Fuhrer Bunker.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn's brother was in a group that "screamed abuse in the faces" of party councillors at a meeting in south London, it is claimed.
Piers Corbyn took part in the demonstration at Lilian Baylis School in Oval, but insists he did not behave inappropriately.
The school was hosting a meeting of Lambeth Council's Labour cabinet on Monday night.
The regeneration of council houses in the borough was being discussed.
Councillors said the disruption of the public meeting amounted to "bullying anger that has not been seen in years".
One told me Mr Corbyn was "chanting and shouting" and "having a wail of a time."
'Talking to people'
Piers Corbyn told the BBC he was "there for part of the meeting" and there was "screaming and shouting" but he personally sought to make his points by talking to people, rather than shouting.
One political source in the borough said the meeting was hijacked by a "ragbag bunch of lefties", including members of the Communist Party and Momentum, the group that was set up to help Jeremy Corbyn become Labour's leader.

Some of you had better watch out what you say on here with regard to posting about 'Muslims'. I'm specifically thinking of Tanker now, who does tend to go a bit OTT with lots of his postings. However, "it's nothing to do with me."

Here's what happened to a guy on Twitter:

PR boss who ‘asked Muslim woman on street to explain Brussels’ has been CHARGED
A PR boss who stopped a Muslim woman in the street and asked her to “explain Brussels” has been charged with inciting racial hatred.

Matthew Doyle, 46, from Croydon, was mercilessly mocked online after he posted on his Twitter account: "I confronted a Muslim woman in Croydon yesterday. I asked her to explain Brussels.

"She said 'nothing to do with me.' A mealy mouthed reply."

Although his initial post was liked by a number of people who tweeted "no more Muslim migration" and "Trump for president", he later removed it from Twitter.

The fallout comes just a day after the attack on the Belgian capital by twisted Islamic State jihadis who left at least 31 people dead and 270 injured.

But the tweet quickly went viral and caused “Croydon” to become a trending topic on Twitter.

One person replied: "What has a woman in Croydon got to do with the horrific events in Belgium, you simpleton?"

Others responded with witty and sarcastic remarks.

Enam Haque wrote: "I confronted a ferret and asked him to explain Donald Trump's hair. He said 'nothing to do with me'. A mealy mouthed response."

Joe Heenan wrote: "I confronted my 5 yr old son yesterday. I asked him to explain the mortgage rates. He said 'I dunno, I like Batman'. A mealy mouthed reply."

Doyle, an LSE graduate and partner at a south London-based talent agency, was arrested at his south London home on Wednesday night following the social media storm following his tweet. He was taken to hospital on Thursday after complaining of feeling unwell while in police custody before being formally charged.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A man has been charged after racist comments were posted on social media.

"Matthew Doyle, 46, of South Croydon, has been charged under section 19 of the Public Order Act 1986; publishing or distributing written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting, likely or intended to stir up racial hatred.

"Doyle will appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Saturday. This follows an investigation by officers at Croydon Police Community Safety Unit."

Meanwhile in Brussels:
A French-language television station captured footage of a woman wearing a hijab ripping up an Israeli flag at a makeshift memorial for the victims of Tuesday’s bombings in Brussels. The images were captured by the RTL television network and disseminated on the web and social media. The incident took place at the vigil that was set up in the central Brussels landmark Place de la Bourse.
I wonder when she will be charged for insulting behaviour intended to stir up racial hatred.

Excec , your right ,i saw that article in the paper.
And your right on we would like to see Muslim leaders get out on to the streets and denounce this but where are they .
Or will we be arrested for saying that ?
I don't care ,i will speak out as i wish and would go to jail if i had to ,because one day this country will end up in civil war as will Europe .
