Hi All,
Taken from my website, at http://www.stanelco.devisland.net ....
The reason I am posting this, is because today's announcement is the very first time, that we have been told that Starpol can be used in CPET microwavable trays !!!!
"Early indications in the food rigid tray area suggest that Stanelco's Starpol 2000 range of materials, produced by Biotec, will be able to significantly undercut the price of polyester (APET, clear trays and CPET, microwavable trays) whilst providing the necessary gas barrier for MAP."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
There are obviously a lot of trays for Stanelco to seal, with 2,000,000,000 trays from just one supplier.
Associated Packaging Technologies (APT), global supplier of thermoformed food trays, has opened a new corporate headquarters in Chadds Ford, PA (suburban Philadelphia) as part of an aggressive growth strategy. The company supplies in excess of two billion CPET trays annually to Fortune 100 customers worldwide throughout the food industries. In related efficiency moves, APT has closed two other executive offices: Jupiter, FL (its former corporate headquarters) and Exton, PA (a second executive office in the Philadelphia that APT had outgrown).
According to Mark Staton, the companys new Chief Executive Officer, This series of strategic decisions will enable us to compete more effectively in our various markets trays for frozen foods, ready meals, and case-ready meats. With the move to our new offices complete, we are in the process of expanding our staff here.
APT is the world's largest vertically integrated manufacturer of CPET dual-ovenable containers for the food industry, the leading source for plastic food trays in the North American frozen food industry, and a major source for plastic food trays in other markets, including case ready meats, institutional, deli, prepared foods, and bakery. The company has thermoforming plants in: Cambridge, Ontario; Waynesville, North Carolina; Chillicothe, Missouri; and Carrickmacross, Ireland

Dont often get a mention in the Times - but goy one today
"Stanelco, the packaging technology specialist, added 1p to 23p on agreeing to sell a 50 per cent stake in newly acquired Biotec Holdings to Frances SP Metal for $12.5 million (7.1 million).
Stanelco last month outbid SPM for Biotec by paying $25 million, the deal by which the French company will become a client of Biotec was lauded by Evolution Securities, which repeated its 30p target"

Small PIs keep getting sucked in by the large bight flashy words - an avoid looking at the lack of big orders and lack of order flow.
When will someone have the balls to write "The very slow take up in orders points strongly to unexpected problems which are being kept under wraps - this may explain why the sudden change of heart with Biotec and the need to get back cash as future projected income from Greenseal is now under severe doubt especially when considering the moves by competitors in this arena."

Fortunately I am still oblivious of the numpty thanks to the new site layout, but I can tell he's up to the same insufferable blubberings as before.
There doesn't seem to be much buying pressure needed to push the price up at the moment. Encouraging. I will revert back to my humble opinion on monday that we will see it trek slowly back up to the 25-26p level until the next news. If that comes next week who knows where we'll be. Good time to buy though imo. short term trend is back up again, long term its always been up.

I have just E-Mailed APTechnologies with Stanelco's last RNS, and the Biotec RNS, just to let them know, that Starpol 2000 can make their 2,000,000,000 CPET trays 100% biodegradable, and as cheap or cheaper than Petro-Plastics ....
Cheers,

there is no problem with the asda rollout of greenseal, if everyone is patient for a few weeks it will all become clear. notice that rhps said last week that seo will trade around 20-25 and then comes out with a 50p target a few days later.
