THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Self explanatory.

cynic - 06 Apr 2016 17:17 - 69705 of 81564

in other words stan, you can't think of any flaw or untruth in what i wrote, but you just happen not to like it

jimmy b - 06 Apr 2016 17:33 - 69706 of 81564

Stan asking the same question many times and demanding an answer ,that's a bit hypocritical isn't it Stan ?

Stan - 06 Apr 2016 17:58 - 69707 of 81564

And once again juvenile behaviour displayed by the usual suspects.

cynic - 06 Apr 2016 18:03 - 69708 of 81564

you're being even more pathetic than usual stan, so i'll switch off for the evening

will10 - 06 Apr 2016 18:15 - 69709 of 81564

Cynic.
You are correct, the wealthier get access to plenty of tax benefits the average earner can't take advantage of. What pisses people off is the cheating bastards aren't happy with that and push the boundaries. Cameron is very careful when he protests he is not benefiting now or in future from his dads offshore trust. The fact is the little shit did benefit in the past.
Ps. I'm sure there are top Labourites with funds off shore as well.
We are all in it together may arse!!!

jimmy b - 06 Apr 2016 18:51 - 69710 of 81564

Stan you won't answer any question yet demand an answer from someone else.

So Stan ,IN or OUT the EU ?

Haystack - 06 Apr 2016 19:14 - 69711 of 81564

Labour takes large donations from hedge fund managers who use offshore tax havens. There are senior Labour people doing the same thing. The Guardian is owned by a company that avoids tax.

ExecLine - 06 Apr 2016 19:48 - 69712 of 81564

Reading all of these different attitudes makes me realise you've all missed out some very important considerations.

Does the government spend the collected taxes wisely?

If we didn't spend our money on taxes could we devise a better way of paying for the things our nation needs?

Is direct taxation better than indirect taxation? Do we really need both methods?

Should all taxation methods be 'fair'? I ask this because, IMHO, some of them aren't.

Should all taxation methods be quite simple? Obviously, lots of them are not.

No doubt many Labourites fiddling taxes too. But this time it's Cameron family caught in the spotlight. The forked tongue two faced bastard can't easily spin his way out of this. Come on Dave shut down the loopholes and pay back what Dad owes.

Haystack - 06 Apr 2016 20:05 - 69714 of 81564

Cameron's dad wouldn't owe anything as it is legal.

Haystack - 06 Apr 2016 20:05 - 69715 of 81564

Cameron's dad wouldn't owe anything as it is legal.

Stan - 06 Apr 2016 20:12 - 69716 of 81564

Alf throws his toys out the pram alert!

Also Cameron still digging his hole deeper and deeper.. which is great to witness by all.

Haystack - 06 Apr 2016 20:21 - 69717 of 81564

It will be forgotten soon.

Stan - 06 Apr 2016 21:22 - 69718 of 81564

You wish.

Fred1new - 06 Apr 2016 21:37 - 69719 of 81564

I hope pay-back time is at the next G.E. not the referendum vote!

We will only know how legal Cameron senior's overseas ventures were if we get an open investigation. Evidence so far queries whether it was a legit off shore company. Looks like UK directors controlled it and overseas directors had no control. Dave boy promised to shut down tax dodging via off shore setups. But as with most of the shit that comes put of mouth he did nothing. Mind you Labour did nothing under their watch. Any wonder we're pissed off with politics.

Stan - 06 Apr 2016 22:10 - 69721 of 81564

If you "Con"artist voters are so "pissed off" as you put it with politics, then why the hell do you keep on voting for them?

Chris Carson - 06 Apr 2016 22:14 - 69722 of 81564

The alternative was to vote for a gobshite who stabbed his brother in the back!

Neither Cameron nor I doubt Corbyn will be candidates in 2020.

Stan - 06 Apr 2016 22:26 - 69723 of 81564

"The alternative was to vote for a gobshite who stabbed his brother in the back!"

No it wasn't and you know it, Where does it say that you can only vote for two candidates at a general election then? the only time that has to happen is if there are only two standing.
